As an African American male who doesn't wear anything too weird out but in private am at my best (wearing skirts, invader Zim hoodies, etc.) This is really affirming and appreciate you making it! Be well, you gained a new subscriber!

Skirt and Invader Zim wear is actually the best combo. Personally I cant stand skirts I feel revealed so i go with baggy pants. Recently got a Gir hat and LOVEEE it. I wish men (especially black men) were actually allowed to just.. yknow, be different. Girls kind of have the luxury of "its tomboy" but boys dont and I think thats unfair. Why cant we just wear clothes, isnt that what they were designed for?

@@chaoticcow4357 THATS WHAT I'M SAYING, I hope in the future we have more people being themselves and unafraid to wear just basic colors like pinks or reds. I hope you are being being yourself however and have a nice day!

You are SO underrated. This hit home. I myself got bullied for being weird, so I've internalised that critical mindset and I often catch myself thinking mean thoughts or being super judgemental to others (including myself) for no reason. It's good to be aware of having those thoughts. Thank you for making this video, I think I'm going to go indulge in some of my "weird" hobbies and interests!

There are things that SHOULD be called cringe. The Pickle Rick Szechuan sauce incident was cringe. Nerdoms and Fandoms gatekeeping newer people for "ruining" the fanbase or the hobby is incredibly cringe... The reality is like you mentioned, the connotation of the word cringe has been extended to sooo many places it shouldn't, that the word has lost all meaning.
@PawprintPanic Жыл бұрын
Agreed! The problem isn’t the word it’s what’s been done with it.

As a furry, I constantly hear people at school and online talk crap about us behind our backs. The worst part? They don't even know what furries are. They think we act like animals, or worse.. so thank you. Thank you for the reassurance.

I always tries to teach my young sibling and my nephews that same thought I try to say "cringe isn't a crime" and "embrace the cringeness" to make them laugh at the same time trying to teach what you talked about in this video I've myself have being part of the furry community and i am a rpg gurps player (rpg is still a stigma here in brazil, like as if it couldn't be a hobby) So i try to pass on the idea of "if it aint hurting nobody why bother?"

It's sad that it's considered kind to just be respectful or not to hate on something. Like I think furbies are creepy and I dislike them, for example, but I'm not going out of my way to make you feel bad because it's YOUR interest. We're different people and we're going to have different opinions, but that's just being normal. People act like you get a medal for having a neutral opinion.

People used to judge me because of the fact that I speak English around them (they don't know English), they think that I'm weird, or some kind of idiot that shows herself too much, and that is very touching on the fact that you insult others for having a ability that you don't, even I, never getting to talk with natives or such, I still talk alone or chat online. I hope the best for you, I never open myself like this online, and you not only gained my respect, but a sub!

i like the idea of cringe culture but it generally just ends up in shaming people for enjoying themselves, rather than actual cringe-worthy moments of like awkward interactions and stuff

I agree, I can never understand why people hate someone just because you're into something they're not. As long as they are not hurting anyone it's fine. They had the right to do whatever makes them happy.

Honestly as soon as I heard "lightsaber fight at a wedding" I SQUEALED. Thats honestly the coolest thing ive ever heard of, I never really got into starwars but ive always loved the idea of having a lightsaber battle. Genuinely so cool. Honestly some of my cringe interests? MLP, Bluey, Warrior Cats, Rping (I especially wanna LARP again, god i miss doing it), Using brainrot modern media as jokes (Witerally doing the griddy), and overall dumb fun stuff you'd expect from a mentally ill neurodivergent. Edit: Thought of more.. Using emojis and emoticons and not just in an ironic or mean context. Recently ive been using >_< and whatnot. Saying eepy, yippee, and recently YAYUUHH!! Maybe ill add more things here when I think up more

the oceans of the internet take me here, a small place on a giant continent, a small video, and while i have a lot to say, i will write a shorter letter: even if you are called cringe, ask yourself, are you happy enjoying this? if so, ignore the fools that are jealous of your happiness, block them, they don't bring anything good to the table, enjoy what you want without hurting others a generic message i know, but its important, and now the currents of the internet take me away somewhere else.

A lot of people say so because it’s dead to them. As in they don’t care what others say about them. But it isn’t really dead, because the ideas are still practiced and people are still constantly put down for being cringe.
