GM: "You used your gay powers to make my girlfriend break up with me!" OP: "Dude, gays don't have super powers.?" GM: *Shocked Pikachu face.* First, what's up with having the gay man play the lesbian woman? Like, the two experiences are kind of... completely different. It was JUST so they could make the gay guy play a fairy wasn't it? *sigh* Second, I don't really get what destroying his entire home brew campaign just to torture a character that he made and made OP play was supposed to hurt him. It doesn't really seem like got particularly attached to this character. Like this feels right up there with a child destroying their own toys because they got in trouble for something they did. It's really stupid.

This reminds me of this gay fairy character I had as an NPC, like not outwardly gay cuz he wore this business suit and was more top than the flamboyant bottom stereotype. Fecking lady bard tried flirting with this character in order to get a deal on magical items and I flat out told her as the fairy "there's no flirt discount, only a flirt tax" like a true salesman only to follow up with "a kobold man walks into the shop and pecks the fairy on the cheek, both are wearing matching earrings, and the Kobold goes to check up on the stock in the back" which flustered the bard and got a good laugh out of two other players since they were also harassed by this player in game. She got real quiet about flirting with random NPCs after that and started asking if they look their way in a flirty manner. Good times~

I always save this character when someone is particularly flirtatious to the point of bugging everyone. At least until it turns out a bard is bi... Which is where I break out his automaton counterpart with zero concept of sex drive.

I can't stand blatant homophobia, racism, or sexism in my games. I actually had to kick someone from my last game because she was telling me all about how she always makes characters who hate men and do stuff like cut off their *stuff* before executing them through slow and painful torture, while sparing all the women, and when I told her "we've been through this, I don't allow sexism" she said "yeah well whatever, I'm gonna do it anyway so get over it" and *bam* there goes the ban hammer. That's it, that's how fast some banning should happen, I don't get why some of these stories are like "oh yeah so I played with this bigot for 18 months, they caused three other players to quit due to bullying and they stabbed me twice, I'm playing with them again on monday".

@@raydaveed Have seen such characters played in a way that can be funny for all. As with many character-concepts it's important for the player to not be a jerk even if the character is.

Here's my WTF Story: So this group was running a 5e campaign in a unique setting and I wanted to revamp an old character of mine. I asked the DM privately for some custom mechanics along the way as this character was pretty loose and I wanted to spice things up. Apparently after a while the DM got so sick of my shit he coerced me to bring it up in the server where the game was run so he and his friends could dogpile and bash me for asking to run my character a particular way before banning me so I couldn't get a word in.

He wanted the curse that way so that everybody else would hate the player. It was designed to make the character useless in combat and immune to consequences, two things that TTRPG players hate. A smart player would realise it was the DM's fault, but these people didn't seem like the brightest bulbs.
