Fun Fact: When Finland was invaded by Russia, Finland initially went to England and France for aid. Unfortunately, Marxist Socialists had taken over the governments of England and France and were allied with Russia and thus denied aid. As a result, Finland was forced to turn to Germany for aid against a common enemy, the Bolsheviks. Finland was able to preserve their automy for the most part. While Finland was compelled to recruit for SS volunteers, they were able to get concessions that Finnish SS were only to be used in the northern front and not anywhere else. It is England and France's fault that Finland turned to Germany for military aid to defend themselves against the Russian invaders.
