The reason Chris carter is saying that is because he played for Ohio State and also a huge Fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Ohio State does not get a free pass they were destroyed in November by 31 points so of course Chris is going to say he don’t think Alabama is a top 4 team cause he wants Ohio State in and Alabama out but they also have to take a count when Alabama played Florida state they were a top 5 team at #3 at the time they were a true top 5 team with the starter. No matter that Florida State went down hill from there with there starter going down but with there starter playing they would be 10-3or 10-2 so they do have a big win it was at the time and that should be all that matters. Also Ohio State there not even a top 5 team even if you look over there body of work. Championship teams do not get blown out and they were blown out 2 times. OHIO STATE ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THE PLAYOFFS. IF THEY DO THE RIGHT THING IF IT COMES DOWN TO ALABAMA OR OHIO STATE. THEY KNOW ALABAMA IS BETTER THAN OHIO STATE NO DOUBT. IF THEY PUT OHIO STATE IN TWO YEARS IN A ROLL THE YEAR BEFORE THEY PUT OHIO STATE IN BECAUSE PENN STATE GOT BLOWN OUT THEY SHOULD DEFINATELY KEEP OHIO STATE OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS. THEY DONT DESERVE IT EVEN BEING CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS. SUPPOSED TO BE THE 4 BEST THAT IS WHY THEY MADE THE PLAYOFF SO NO TEAM GETS LEFT OUT IF THERE A TOP 4 TEAM. My thing is why Ucf isn't in conversation for playing in the college football playoffs? They're undefeated. I'm a die hard Alabama fan don't get me wrong but I disagree with the NCAA college football playoffs committee . Georgia lost because of home field advantage. I think TCU will now beat Oklahoma in the rematch, and I do think if Auburn loses to Georgia , then Alabama has a 85% chance to get in Comment if you agree

Unless the NCAA goes back to 6 conferences and 12 teams each, I don't see a 8 team playoff. Even in that scenario it gives teams like Alabama no incentive to schedule tougher out of conference games if they can lose one of the two big games on their schedule and still get in. Also under the current setup it would make conference championship games pointless because both the ACC and SEC can argue their loser is still good enough to be in. A one lose Wisconsin can argue to be in if they lose to OSU. 4 is fine but if they go to 8 it should be conference champs in the top 6 spots, and an undefeated mid major and then a wildcard

Division I-A should be split into subdivisions, because if you're arguing that undefeated UCF should not be playing for the championship, then you're saying that they're eliminated before a single game is played. At least be honest about it. Create a new division consisting only of the Power 5 Conferences and create another division consisting of schools from Mountain West, and the MAC, etc. Maybe even set up a separate playoff for schools in that new division.

Alabama has kicked off each of the last five seasons are follows: 1. 2017 - Florida State 2. 2016 - USC 3. 2015 - Wisconsin 4. 2014 - Michigan State 5. 2014 - West Virginia 6. 2014 -Virginia Tech 7 2009, -Virginia Tech 7. 2008 -Clemson. No other teams schedule this level of competition and win each game. Near the end of the season every team out there schedules rinky dink team to avoid injury prior to the iron bowl and / or the SEC Title. So Chis please think before you make comment like this..

Committees job is to put the four best teams in the playoffs ..do you think Alabama would have been demolished playing at Iowa this year the way Ohio state was? if you want to see a route, a team get demolished, put Ohio State in there again this year like last year and you're going to see Ohio State get whitewashed by any team that face.. the committee wants to see a competitive playoff with the four best teams, Ohio state is not one of the four best teams and they would get slammed..it would be an embarrassment for the committee

Last time OSU didn't win at least division title. 2011 after loss of Tressel Last time OSU didn't beat a top 10 team 2013 See how irrelevant this all to this? My point is just because a blowout happened doesn't mean a team doesn't improve after. OSU lost it's 3 top defensive players during the Iowa loss and nobody talks about that. Clemson loses to a Syracuse team with a losing record and nobody cares. OSU got in last year because they beat 4 top 10 ten teams during the time of the game and 3 finished in the top 7. 2 wins of those were on the road and one against a conference champion. One fluky road loss was their only strike, a game they won most metrics, and they were the most inexperienced team in the nation This year Alabama is like 2015 OSU. They lost the only game they couldn't afford and have no conference championship. They played a weak FCS team on top of that, and the committee may be looking at that as a 0 data point. OSU may have 2 losses, but if they beat Wisconsin, their 3rd best win is stronger than Bama's strongest win, and they'll have a conference title and a win to finish the season against the only remaining undefeated P5 team. Last impressions. Recall that 2 loss Stanford finished ahead of 2015 OSU in the final playoff poll. If OSU doesn't deserve to go, Bama sure as heck doesn't by that standard.

Their two losses would be a one score, midseason road loss to a very capable Iowa State and a road loss to Oklahoma that they avenged in the big 12 championship game. Everybody is crying because Alabama played Mercer but doesn't say anything about Auburn playing Mercer. I guess playing Florida State and LSU is playing nobody even though LSU beat Auburn. Ohio State played UNLV. Clemson played Kent State and Citadel(Mercer beat Citadel) Georgia played Appalachian State and Oklahoma played UTEP, who did not win a game all year. Everybody has at least one easy team on the schedule it's called Senior day. Unless your UTEP. There is no guarantee When you schedule Florida State or Penn State or LSU that they will be or finish in the top 10 but that doesn't mean they are a nobody. Florida didn't have i great year nor did Tennessee but i wouldn't say you were chicken for putting them on your schedule.

dolomite Rydah We didn’t get Blown out by Oklahoma, It was 14-17 going into the 4th. Playing at Iowa is an incredibly hard place to play and is a team that always plays the Better teams tough. (Look at Michigan last year) That doesn’t completely excuse the loss though, We completely overlooked them after the Penn State game And I would understand us not getting in because of that.

Cooper Self You didn't even get the score right. 31-16, I don't consider it a blowout, but it is close to one. Name the unranked teams they played. Were any of them close to the level Iowa is against top 10 teams. Nope, they played Mercer for God's Sake. The only good team they played swept the floor with them, much like OU did to OSU, the difference is, that's week 2, not rivalry week, and OSU swept the floor with the other good teams they played.

Dalton Gilmore They were still extremely overrated. Francois holds some of their issues. But the defense was awful throughout the year, and they got beaten up in games that didn't matter. They lost to NC State, Francois does nothing to that, Clemson, nope Francois also doesn't do anything to that. Louisville, Jackson outduels him, and Louisville pulls it out. BC takes them put still, since FSU got beaten so bad. They lose 4 games, and don't do much. That's from the wins and losses off the top of my head. Francois also won't matter to the comitee since he didn't do jack when he played.

Cooper Self Nope. FSU lose 4 at most, which really isn't much better than what they have now. 3 isn't that good for what their expectations were. OSU also lost on their home field by 2 positions, a 2tds and a 2 point conversion. If Bama's best win is against the MSU of the SEC, who has what, 3 or 4 losses now, or an LSU team who lost to Troy. Then you look at Osu's quality wins, a thrashing, and total domination against the MSU of the Big Ten, a Penn State comeback where Jt Barrett became Jesus, and they played a C game at best. The metrics support OSU also, so if you want to go their, then yeah, OSU deserves it more. They would hold a conference title (if they win) and add another quality win against Wisconsin, who is undefeated. They would also carry the same amount of wins, which the comitee would look at. So everything should favor OSU if you look at it.

Hey guys Nick Saban wants to go to play 9 games, but commissioner of the SEC will not do it. so CC AKA Chris Carter if you want the SEC do you start playing 9 Conference games then get out and advocate for it, instead of your bitching their Alabama got into the playoffs didn't so sick and tired of people bitching and complaining, and Chris Carter you know football, so why don't you get out there and ask the cape for the SEC building line conference games because I do agree with you on that, the only problem that I have with y'all and everyone else who b****** complains and moan about the cupcake teams, that Alabama is not the only one that schedule cupcake things teams, and just just say this I am a season holder of Alabama tickets, also a big fan the SEC, and we aren't the only conference that help out smaller schools like Mercer, Charleston Southern, Kent State and so on, it's because we actually will pay them to come and play us to help them to make their sports facilities upgraded and scholarships. or Chris Carter did you forget about that. I do agree with you on expanding the SEC for 9 Conference games, but like I said you need to get out and addvocate for it because Nick Saban thinks it's a good idea. so before you start blasting Nick for his scheduling, maybe you need to find out how he really feels and how he wants the SEC go to nine conference games.
