You really do provide the best reviews on the internet. I really appreciate the way you don’t butter things up, if you don’t like something you aren’t afraid to say it, you explain clearly and specifically why you feel the way you feel and you don’t let it drag on for longer than my attention span appreciates. Definitely keep up these kind of videos.

I really liked that you give this game a 7.0 because Some people give this game a review score of 8.5. Which it clearly doesn't deserve🙄. A great review is when the reviewer is completely honest. I still think I wanna buy this game on a discount at some point but great with you man😃

Cheers mate! Yeah, it's worth a buy. I think a 7 is a fair score for it. Like I said, it does a lot of things really well, but it's still lacking in a few areas.

The art style is interesting, but this game doesn't look like the kind of game I'd want to play - especially after the critical points you made about game balance. Thanks for the review!

I like your reviews because they are more critical,so I know what to expect when I buy the game. A lot of interesting games came last and this month. Curious if you will play Neo Twewy. Fuga Melodies of steel also looks like fun game.

Thanks mate! I'll probably play Fuga, but I may wait a while on TWEWY. I do really want to get in more FF14 time, too :D

So the PS5 load times were quick? I haven't opened this game for switch yet and I see it for PS5 for the same price of 19.99.

It’s rare you get a video game uses time travel as part of the gameplay and not just randomly used it for one time. lol 😅

This isn't a Jrpg...

This game was made by a Columbian team, so it's a RPG. May not seem like a big deal, but it's important to make a distinction because it does confuse people when they may think a game came from Japan. The art-style is quite obviously not anime style. I think we see inspiration vice-versa a lot, but they never mix up distinctions. I point it out because there are legitimate entities trying to blur the line between what the Japanese do, like anime, but label Western animation anime as well. People actually believe these things are from Japan and ends up with a bit of misinformation. I still think many don't realize the new Genshin game is made by a Chinese dev team because they see anime-style artwork (which admittedly, is intentional).

But it's much closer to jrpg that rpg. There is a lot western developers who call their games jrpgs, because it's different from rpg. Dragon's Dogma or Dark Souls are action rpgs not jrpgs at least they market them self as rpgs.

Ah, the never ending debate! A lot of people classify JRPG as a genre, and use this as a guide to choosing games. I like the analogy; If you go to a Japanese restaurant in the US, is it really Japanese? It looks, tastes and smells the same as authentic Japanese food, but it's made by Americans. So is it American food inspired by Japanese? But in any case, I don't want to confuse anyone so I've adjusted the title :)

@@HellFireRPGs A bit of one, as I was a bit hesitant to bring up what felt like a nagging point, but as stated, I felt it was important to bring up because there does seem to be e co-opting of manga/anime look and labeling going on because of it's popularity (and independence from Western political influences). That's an easy one to answer; if you have the proper ingredients and make it how the Japanese do, not just a variation on the recipe, then yes. You can have authentic Japanese food in America, whether made by someone non-Japanese or not. Taco Bell imitates Mexican food, but isn't; same for some sloppy Chinese take-out places. When it comes to JRPG, it was made in a specific style separate from Western RPGs that set it apart and became identifying features of what their genre is. I have no problem saying a game in the West is made in that style and labeled that way on Steam to easily find it. But if the game is marketed as a JRPG, that's when it becomes confusing. Would you actually see it on sale in Japan? Do Japanese people play and support it? Does the game come in Japanese and you have to switch the language option or come with that choice? These typically indicate a JRPG. It would come down to how many elements of a JRPG this game uses and not just a few to take up the labeling as. This is just to avoid confusion because there are many that will take it at face value, but it's not crime if they do, just to make that clear. There was a animation on Netflix that was from...Brazil? Something like that and was marketed as a anime, though it had no relation in style or some tropes seen in cookie-cutter kinds. Same for Castlevania and that is a purely Western production. They are trying to find a way into the Japanese market to have influence over it; an executive there stated they needed to make anime that appeals to the West, or the content we see that many are rejecting because of political/ideological insertions. China is doing the same with better success via Genshin Impact. They too are trying to find a way into Japan's gaming and anime industry or for both, insert influence enough that they start censoring or including values not Japan's.

@@blumiu2426 for me any RPG made in Japan is JRPG, so Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Trails, Xenoblade, FF, Fire Emblem, Persona, Paper Mario, Radiant Historia, Shadow Hearts.. all are JRPGs. Meanwhile Cristales, Child of Light, Cosmic Star Heroine, Battle Chasers.. are all western RPGs. Although I think calling them all RPGs is the best thing, if we want to differentiate then using turn based, action, strategy, real time descriptions is way better & easier to use.
