same here...it actually made me feel a tear when i played throw this part, somewhere along my back i was begging that Zack somehow wouldent die...but i knew it was going to happen , man its so sad... and people say hes forgeting them..thats not it.. hes saying goodbye..

I think the real bummer in all of these scenes is how the dmw fades out to white. It's almost as if he wants to keep his memories of these persons but isn't able to do so because his strength is fading. And when Aerith is shown on the DMW matrix she doesn't fade away the first time...

@NandorHUN Genesis was never really one person who was important for Zack. He was some sort of a guy he wanted to help but he never was a buddy or even a friend. In this final DMW spins you'll just see important people for Zack. Such as Seph - His hero Angeal - His mentor Cloud - His best friend Aerith - His beloved Cissney - Actually nothing much special but it seems she left her marks Tseng - Okay, he just was a comrade in some mission but he was a buddy, too.

Genesis is still alive even after AC theres a scene where Weiss and Nero show up and carry Genesis away in a helicopter where Zack left him

Meh, I can't help crying like a baby every time this part comes. You know he is going to die, and that by itself makes the approaching ending more touching. It's heartbreaking how the DMW shows that Zack thought of Aerith till the end. It's easy to see how precious she was to him. They should write how they meet in the Lifestream. I dun care if they milk it, just them meeting will be enough.

the last thing he hears in these memories is Aerith saying "i'll be wainting for you" the last thing she says on the phone the last time they spoke together...=( so sad...

Its sad because now Zack and Aerith are both in heaven while Cloud and Tifa are interested in each other....while Vincent Valentine.... oh god his story was just so depressing..and Lurreicia if thats how u say it.... mother of Sephiroth, would make sense if Vincent fought him... since he was in love with her and so was she..just damn.

They made it seem as if he were looking through a VR lens like at the beginning of the game when Angeal stopped the training b/c Zack had just gotten his butt kicked by the Sephiroth image. Training is indeed...over. :'(

you honestly think hes forgetting? i dont think Fading memories is a term that should be translteted word on word, i simply think these are the last people he thinks about..i mean .how would he tell cloud to be his living legecay if he forgot him? also to take care of Arieth for him?. he remembers.

... zack dies, Areith cries, Cloud cries, end of Final Fantasy 7 Aerith dies* (sephiroth killed her) advence children, last part of the movie, Cloud sees Zack and Aerith and zack says "You don't belong here, its not ur time yet..."

Poor Zack. He didn't deserve such a fate... Why the hell did he have to die like that? All he ever aspired to be was a top SOLDIER, but his world gets turned upside down... And he gets gunned down like a feral dog by mere grunts, working for ShinRa. Hojo is a fucking bastard. If not for him, Zack wouldn't have had to break outta the labs and he probably would have lived. It's so sad... He can't do anything but lie there, forget and fade away. He never got to say goodbye to Aerith either. D8
