To end the horrors of having Angeal Clones everywhere attacking people, Angeal realized the only way this would happen is if died. Basically he wanted Zack to defeat him so he could die with his pride as a SOLDIER. Genesis is trying to stop his deterioration, but it ends up being much more by the end.

Since the Buster sword has those two holes near the hilt, I figured there was a peg on the back of the armor it latched onto. How Zack kept his original, hole-less sword on, I have no idea. A magnet of some kind would make sense, though.

the voice actor for zack is amazing. i wonder if he saw aerith between the time where angeal died and cloud came into the picture (if im not mistaken 2 years have passed, hence the longer hair). man. this stuff is really deep. zack is so honest with himself. and he was even listening to her as he cried too. "though im scared of the sky"...he reflects that while he dies....his death depressed me for three months no lie. if theres such a person in this world like him....

You're maybe right.But according to Angeal,the Buster Sword is a symbol of hero and honor.Usage or leaving it to rust is a wastage of the sword,both he and Zack sees it as a treasure.But Cloud....*sigh*And that's why Zack is in a total different prestige where Cloud can NEVER reach.Zack saved him,even he sacrificed himself at the end.Though Cloud defeated Sephiroth,he failed to save Aerith.Zack is a hero,Cloud isn't...So that's why he doesn't fit to wield the Buster Sword.

its because the voice acting in japan are top class so many wants to be a voice actor/actress so when they choose someone it's a top notch voice actor/actress unlike english dubbers they suck i really don't like the english dub and angeals english voice is the one i hate the most zack's voice is fine though but not that good as japanese dub
