[So the hound weaves the final chapter in this tale of life] "The hound" is Vincent's gun (the Cerberus, named after the 3-headed dog that guards Tartarus of Hades' Underworld in Greek mythology), & the opening statement is referring to VINCENT'S story, not the FF7 compilation itself. SE clearly left the door open for another sequel and has already put out that G is supposed to be a good guy after awakening at the end of DoC.

angeal is a beast to stop both genesis' and sephiroth's attack at the same time and even catching sephiroth's slash with the hilt of the buster sword. in fact he fights better with the buster sword yet never actually drew it. more proof to how much of a beast he is. highly underrated too!

Yeah, as annoying as Genesis is, it must have been tough always standing in Sephiroth's shadow. Even that part where Angeal tries to break them up, it's like he knows Genesis is going too far and someone will get hurt, and Seph just seems confused. Genesis's jealousy must have been awkward for him. He never asked to be the way he is.

I'd love a backstory on Sephiroth's life up until this point. They've already laid the foundation with Vincent's flashbacks from DoC. We know Hojo took him away to ShinRa after birth and that Lucrecia was upset at not having a chance to even see him. They could start from there and end at CC. Game, movie, novella...I'd take anything about him (from the original creators) and be very happy. ^_^

I want to see this! I can't get enough of this story. I imagine Gast was probably more human than Hojo, possibly the one person who treated young Sephiroth like a child and not a specimen. Sephiroth says Gast is a superior scientist, but he might also be trying to say that he was fond of him. Sephiroth doesn't seem like he could just come out and say that.

That is a true hero, much like spiderman cause even though people started to hate him he kept doing what was right because he knew it was right. Sephiroth was only seen as a hero cause of the incredible things he could do

@banditvalon - The dubs that chocolinx posts are more literal translations of the original Japanese scripts. When the Japanese is 'officially' translated, the translators don't adhere strictly to the original words because they don't think the average viewer would understand the foreign phrases & structures. Instead, they rewrite the English script with what they think would be a more natural-sounding equivalent. Unfortunately, as with AC, this can turn "unforgivable!" into "meanie!".

Um, actually, they don't always have the exact same dialogue in Japanese and English versions. Sometimes the character says one thing in Japanese and something totally different in English. That's just how it's done.

@ chocolinx either way sephiroth is left-handed...im taking kejutsu classes for over a year and sensei told us that a sword cant be use with left hand on top the right cause there is no technique nor uses for left handed ppl(like me)on katana or sword users... so thats some personal characteristic added on sephiroth by the creator of ff7... @R83145- sephiroth only use both hands when he blocked some attacks only but he have bein left-handed since ff7

Thats because he knows what he is capable of and has no doubts. therefore he has nothing but calmness while in combat but thats what makes him the perfect SOLDIER he has no fear and he knows how far he can go, genesis is just power hungry and pissed cause Sephiroth is better

I feel bad for them also, mostly due to the fact that what gave them the edge to be great were ego trips, power struggles, grave misunderstandings, and fooling around in the name of science. Hojo and Hollander both didn't know Jenova, and even 'today' in the FFVII world, she is not understood, as well they didn't care. Sephiroth, Genesis and Angeal are like three beings who shouldn't be... Anyhow, it's really sad to me, and I agree with you.

yea dude! from ADVENT CHILDREN! we are talking about crisis core here! by the time advent children came out angeal was dead so that quote has nothing to do with anything that happened during crisis core. if you knew anything about english you would see that it was spoken about advent children AND it was in the present tense! the characters they deal with include cloud, kadaj, tifa, and sephiroth! if you want to prove me wrong then use correct facts!
