I just learned of Steve’s passing. In his honor, I made this chicken tonight. It was truly the best fried chicken our family has ever eaten. Just fantastic! I wish I’d have had the honor of meeting Steve. Well, thanks to the internet we can still watch and learn from one of America’s all around great guys and country chef. Blessings.
Steve was so great. I learned a lot from him. We all did. He is greatly missed for sure.

Today has been an exceptionally sh*tty day... Kinda nice to sit back and watch Steve cook, share his love of cooking and food. I sure enjoy his videos, I can’t imagine how much more so for those who were close to him. I miss a man I never had the opportunity to meet... I’m so thankful he took the time to share his life and love here, so thankful this channel has continued with the two lovely ladies we have today.

Just joined your channel recently, looking forward to many new recipes to come. Then I found out that Shotgun passed. My heart goes out to Ms. Shella and his entire family. He was such an energetic, entertaining, informative, happy man! Wish I could have stopped by Tennessee to say hello. I'm so glad to see Ms. Shella continuing the channel. Shotgun would be sooooo proud. Keep up the outstanding work! Especially in these current times, you make things a lot easier for many people. I've been bingeing your videos over the last few days while stuck at home, and it's as if Shotgun and Ms. Shella are right in my kitchen giving me cooking tips all day, every day. God bless you all.

I love these videos and really wish we could’ve met and/or knew y’all! Steve is such a happy, sweet, lovable guy and I am sure about this because I can hear it in his voice. Especially when he talks to Shelia, I love to hear him say your name Sheila! I think it’s because somehow I can hear his love for you when he talks to or about you and I’m sure I’ve said this on another video, sorry to repeat myself, but it’s so true!
