Ronaldo might have left, but he has left an imprint by exposing the reality that was already in front of every player but no one dared admit. Glazers were already under pressure to sell the club and Ronaldo put the final nail in the coffin. He did his part to get the club back on the right track. And Ronny has my respect for it.

Honestly it's sad that it ended in this way. I was hoping CR7 would play the role of the team emotional leader/super sub like Zlatan does at Milan, and then leave amicably when his contract ran out. I guess it couldn't be helped 🙇🏻 All in all, I'm feeling weirdly optimistic about the future of the club 🤞 we're gonna need to sign another number 9 in the summer for sure, because Martial is always injured and Rashy is better on the left. Let's hope whoever buys the club isn't so morally despicable that I feel like I can't support the club anymore, I don't want us to become like PSG or City 🙏

But at same age Zlatan was in United being a starter for Mourinho. He left to continue being a starter in the LA Galaxy and came back to Milan. He accepted his role as super sub because he knows his body is hitting the limits. Zlatan doesnt look like that but he is humble, however, the main point is that Zlatan at the same age was looking still be a starter in the same way Cristiano is. What i think is the problem is that Zlatan was way smarter in how he managed his departures. Cristiano leaving Real and Juve were definitely not the best ways for him to move forward.

First things first, I’ve just wanted to say, your videos are absolutely top notch, and I always look so forward to watching them when I see them appear on my feed. Thanks for doing what you do, and keep up the fantastic work! As a longtime football fan in the USA, it’s exciting to see how much the game’s popularity has grown on my home soil, and I think the quality of the content you put out can really help those just getting into the sport really immerse themselves in the history of this beautiful game. As for the content of this video, I don’t necessarily have any skin in the game as an Arsenal fan, but as a football fan, I do have an opinion. I agree with your assessment on CR7, I too view him as a top 2-3 player in the world. However, I am absolutely saddened by the approach he took to more or less forcing his way out of United. Everything about it felt like we were witnessing the cries of a man who thought he was bigger than the club. I understand CR7 isn’t a normal player, but as such, with the sheer influence he wields both in football and sport at large, burning bridges, openly disrespecting his manager, and taking to the media to air out grievances that probably would’ve been best being handled internally, are a poor look for a player of Cristiano’s stature. I’m not going to sit here and deny that he felt slighted by those at the club, as only Cristiano knows how he truly feels, but as an observer on the outside looking in, I still think it was handled petulantly. When it’s all said and done, his abilities and accomplishments as a footballer are undeniable. He truly is a once, maybe twice in a generation player, and I don’t think what he’s done on the pitch, and the legacy he has built on it, can ever be tarnished. But I do question if history will look upon this second stint at Manchester United, and the way he forced his way out, as a stain on his legacy as a teammate and an ‘employee’.

Recent subscriber from france here, big fan of your work. Do you sometimes consider making longer, more in-depth videos ? Not that the current formula is lacking in any way, but i'm assuming that within an 8-9 minute timeframe you need to really narrow it down to your point without straying too far with your own thoughts / additional remarks, jokes, etc. I would be very interested in a longer format, but the current state of the channel already makes it one of the top quality football content i've seen on here. My impression is: ETH never liked Ronaldo from the get-go and froze him out, this being immediately clear to Ronaldo increased his desire to leave, but still the club did not wish to sell him. This difficult relationship hindered Ronaldo's performance as well as stature in the dressing room, and finally the interview, unprofessional or not, right or wrong, was his exit strategy. The more interesting part is how it may have finally caused the owners to announce considerations to sell, but that's probably because they see the club's value dropping with all the dirty laundry... but what do I know!

Wild idea: This might be a far stretch, but is it possible for United fans to contribute money to buy a controlling share of the club? Possibly to form the 'Socios' model used by Real Madrid, Barcelona, or Athletic Bilbao. Their models make sure no one person or family, can take control of the club and the demands of the supporters are what determine the direction of the club.
