What an incredibly adorable, genuine, cool, awesome human being is Luis Guzmán!! Every movie he is in, even though it turns to be a bad movie, I'm totally in for him. He almost cries talking about Brando... well, I did cry seeing him talking about Brando. Fakin' great actor!! I love you, man!
@thevoid99 Жыл бұрын
i cried too during the brando story. the fact that brando complemented him is better than any award. plus, he's one of those actors where you can put him in an awful film but he's going to be the best thing in it. plus, i loved that story he did when he did "carlito's way" where it was early in the production and things were tense. de palma was like getting everyone ready to hit their mark and he told luis to do his mark and luis replied "brian, i don't act. i just do it" de palma laughs and then says what he said before with "and luis is just going to do it" as the production got more relaxed since.

Yeah that might be one of my favorite Soderbergh movies ever. I saw that in the theaters in 1999. It's a masterpiece, the way it plays with non-linier time, and Luis could not be better in that movie along with the rest of his costars. Also gave Terence Stamp a second wind. Just what I was going to write. His performances are equal to any of the cinematic "giants" he appears with. I always think of "The Limey" when I think of Guzman. Earthy and real, just as he is in the Criterion closet.
