I found this channel by accident and I do admit the drinker is goofy sometimes but minor correction, Prey has shit tons of bots to inflate its review, how can you know? Go to rotten tomatoes and read the reviews of each individual, look at their score and then which other movies did they score and with how many stars. Prey was crappy at best yet they give 5* to compensate for the 1/2 stars the other give it. Heck its so obvious they are bots some of the accounts don't even have names rofl!

Nobody finds it strange that somebody chose not to watch a movie because of its ideology. E.g. Rambo. But there are also many cases where cineast-types watch and enjoy a movie despite those things. Like Mel Gibson's batshit crazy Apocalypto. Or unrepentant racist D.W. Griffith.

You do realise that you are critiquing a scottish drunk (which is his entire ethos "I'm drunk so why should people care about what I say") and taking everything else he said out of context in order to critique the fact that he manipulates media, unlike you he has worked hard to get to where he is and he has a massive audience because people generally agrees with what he says. I will admit the boys review was terrible but if you read the comments, there are people who have watched the 4th season and don't like it. He isn't forcing anyone to agree with him but because audiences are burnt out by hollywood and the utter crap they produce he has built trust and even does open bar to get different opinions. But again, this is not the gotcha you think it is, and if all you care about is gotcha moments then you are going to fail.

Plus the argument that a person can only critisise a film or media if they have a degree in film and TV is a logical fallacy, that is condescending, especially to the audience. Most people know shite when they see it, the CD just gives a voice to that ire with modern entertainment. To call him a massive hypocryte is a reach. People don't pay attention to disingenuous critics that are as much a part of the culture war as anyone else, Jeremy Jahns would be my go to for actual reviews as I believe he is fairly objective, reviews from people from say the mary sue can be dismissed immediately because of their clear political persuasion.
