@teqfreakАй бұрын
These people use words not the same way as you an me do. Their diverse doesn't mean the same as when we use diverse. In their lingo diverse means non-white, it's double speak to hide their own racism. It is why it is impossible to talk to these people. @@teqfreak Thank you. So, every journalist in every interview should ask them to define the words they are using.
@teqfreakАй бұрын
@@DavidByrden1 Thank you too! Asking them to define the words would be a very good idea. Sadly it rarely happends. Very often with mainstream channels the journalists are part of the in-group as well and already radicalised, which stops their critical thinking. And when more skeptical journalists do it, it often leads to rage or a word salad (ask them to define gender, a man, a woman, diversity, equity, inclusion) from the person questioned. All those words and many more have a specific meaning within the dogma that is different from what common people use. In that regard this whole “critical theory” / “identity politics” dogma has a lot in common with religious fundamentalism. And you’ll get the same reactions as with religious fundamentalism (unlike with moderates). Since it is new we should spread awareness of this. I think most normal/ neutral people will disagree with the ideas these people propose. But since the double and different meaning of the words they use (which all sound nice) people tend to go along. Most people are nice and empathic and like to help and please their fellow humans, which is exactly what this exploits. Everything is designed to exclude the majority in a certain spectrum. Black Lives Matter suggests everybody else doesn’t. LGBTQ+ is an abbreviation to exclude straight people. BIPOC, in the USA means everybody except white people. In Europe BIPOC it isn’t used of course since Europeans are the I (indigenous) in Europe. James Lindsay makes a convincing case that “critical theory/ identity politics” is communism for the west. I really recommend it, he explains it very eloquently. He has a speech for the EU parliament, a bit under half an hour. It summarizes a lot.

When they turned Captain America, Tinkerbell and ariel black it was the final straw I got rid of everything Disney and marvel from my collection and glad I did because they are now worthless to collectors. When the force woke garbage came out, I got rid of all my star was stuff as well and for the same reasons. They abandoned the fans and took a woke stance to discuss everyone they hate that being the fans that spent probably over a trillion dollars to make them what they were and now they are realizing that it was a mistake and not firing enough woke people rather they fired all the heterosexual white males that made the stories good.

I couldn't''t agree more, not because I'm against the whole LGBTQ+ thing, but rather because the writing took a huge hit when the story was 2nd to the agenda. England produces many movies and TV shows with LGBTQ+ people in them, but they're well written stories - not some checkbox ticking spreadsheet.

Even under Walt, Disney made very little original content. Since his passing, they buy the companies who come up with originals and run those stories into the ground.

Disney isn’t ignoring DEI-they're one of its main champions! They prioritize ideology over fans, and their own management admits it in meetings that have been recorded and shared online. Disney isn't clueless; they've been ideologically captured. And to the Disney supporter: don’t start with "There’s been a lot of misinformation." That only reveals you're also ideologically captured. These phrases are exactly what the woke use. No self-reflection.

2 things. 1) many of the activists probably dismissed this debate due to the bias shown by the man leading the debate as set up to skew the story (it didnt lets be honest but lack of "impartiallity" does hurt it). 2) black panther obviously succeeded because it was good, the "diversity" was literally just them being generally accurate to the place they set the movie in, like featuring brown bears in north america, but polar bears in anartica, instead of "diversifying" bears by putting a movie set in WA state featuring an an all polar bear cast

Disney is channeling their inner Genral Melchett (from Blackadder), "General Melchett : If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through. "

When you are working in the arts, you don't work to get financially rich, you work to enrich yourself as a human being. This is something corporations are insensitive to. Art and corporations mix as well together as oil and water.
@CoteMoretzАй бұрын
What Disney and all these other companies don’t seem to understand is that the biggest issue is poor story telling. You can have a “diverse” cast or a strong female lead and still make great movie. And we have tons of examples like Alien, Black Panther, and the original Star Wars trilogy just to name a few. But instead of having a good story first they only care about checking the boxes of DEI. And yes a lot of people don’t want to see “the message” but if it’s a great movie people will still go see it even if it has “the message”.

Black Panther 2 had like 3 men total in the movie and killed off Chadwicks black panther with covid rather than giving him a proper send off by dying as an epic hero. They then replaced Black Panther with a crying indecisive woman and tried to portray those characteristics as if people would be tricked into thinking that is what a strong leader should look like. With that being said, the post credit scene was the best part of the movie imo

If Disney has started cleaning “house of mouse 🐭“ of activists …… we won’t see change of this until a few years down the track when new Disney movies / animated movies are released. I hope this is true and Lucasfilms Star Wars etc is cleaned out too 💪😇🥳👍

the gay kiss in Lightyear was not the reason why that movie flop. It was boring as fuck. It has the same quality as those bad straight to video disney sequel from the 90's but for some reason it was given a huge budget. And I guess they tried to score diversity points with the gay kiss but it clearly didn't work. We should stop bringing it up because it was non consequential

The opposite with being obsessed with featuring non whites is NOT to use only white people ! The opposite is not to obsess over race! They cannot see they are trapped thinking people are racist and sexist.

I am not optimistic about Disney. I believe that Deadpool and Wolverine was an outlier. They are not going to allow a movie that’s catered to fans ever again. Everything has to have an agenda. They can fire whoever they want, but they’re going to hire activists.

There is still too much pride in the leadership at Disney so I expect to still see "the message" and them pushing their woke agenda until they crash so hard, the fans and stock holders will force a change in the woke leadership. As Drinker and Nerdrotic continue to say, it is not that there are diverse characters, the problem is changing the characters that have been popular for decades to a very divers fandom, and very poor story telling and changing everything that created fans in the first place. Creating new and original characters that are different can work if the story telling and art are good. Poor writers don't want to hear their stories are garbage. Their pride leads them to believe they can do no wrong.
