@@hhylobates4098 I thought nothing of it at the time but I was on twitter at some point and someone showed a picture of the upclose shot of the pendent and Delilah doing the symbol in her flesh side by side and I am like "Well I be damned..... This could be very spicy." I love cross over easter eggs like that.

Wild thought. Zerxus is replacing Arkhan in Season 3, and he plans to betray Vecna to try and release Asmodeus.

I love what they're doing with this because NGL I keep combining the Hell trip and the City of Brass trip in my head now that it has been over 5 years since I saw C1 so I think limiting their time spent in flaming cities is going to help with clarity of story and also it has created really interesting new moments like this Zerxus encounter.

Potential Spoilers?! I think Zerxus is the new Arkon as Wotc now owns the rights to him. And with Zerxus mentioning an ascension would make sense if he was taking about Vecna. Perhaps using Vecna's hand against Asmodeus and the other gods?

Having not seen any of campaign, I was blown away by the idea of the Pike/Zerxes scene playing out at the table but couldn't locate any info about what episode it might have been. TY for confirming the deviation. And it makes sense, given how high the stakes were and how difficult a challenge it appears it would have been. Glad they are able to introduce new content like this.

I dont think Zerxus is talking about Asmodeus, first of all he seems to hate him and he have all the reason to be mad, and second and more important: remember who say in the first season "we are his blood"? Delilah, so i imagine in the show he and problably pike are gonna be part of the "asension" of the whisper one, which make sense seing that Zerxus hates the gods, maybe he belive that creating one will help him be free of his contract and expecially a Necromancer that may help him reunite with his family

Yes but I think this time Zerxus is talking about Asmodeus, Pike is a servant of the goddess of redemption and Zerxus was a paladin of the oath of redemption e failed to safe Asmodeus (just like Everlight) and got turned into his champion. This episode is amazing for showing that Both Pike and Zerxus are the same but one lost their Faith.

@@felipesoares4942 Nah, tLoVM isn't based on D&D knowledge. The fact that he's repeating what Whispered One followers have said in earlier seasons means it's a specific callback to that.

I think this is an aspect of having to split from D&D lore cause technically the whole devil demon split is leaning towards D&D's IP so they instead went more with a all the betrayers are in a singular hellish pit where demons/devils live

So... All sorts of theories along with us all lol... First, the Everlight giving a vision in hell? I don't buy it. Im pretty sure even that initial vision is someone messing with her fear if abandonment that we already know is her insecurity, not something the Everlight ever said. Is Asmodeus both warning her away from zirxus, aware of his scheming, while still not ressting a little messing with her insecurities... or zirxus playing the longer game we still barely know enough to assume much shut. But so weve got zirxus scheming with the whispered one (no spoiler here all speculation just heads up for those unfamiliar with the stream). Maybe thinking he can turn pike against the everlight, or did something yet to be fully out in context. Maybe he's hoping the whispered one can unseat all the gods, which would free him from his torment? Could go all sirts of directions... Also maybe he's lying about having a god, trying to generate a sense of fakse equivalency (what happened to me can happen to you!) All gods LIE! Well, not all literally represent the lord of lies, lol. Again though, I'm thinking maybe zirxus long game as a firmer aeoruan non deity civine caster is gonna become "all gods must DIE" if her vengeance side gets too triggered lol. We shall see vm I'm loving how excellent they're weaving from multiple bits and mini campaigns. Awesome, and somehow legend of vox Mach and I just continues to get better and better. They're really coming to master their method of adaptation in my opinion.
