Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games kzbin.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

I really appreciate your videos. I got a puppy we thought was a GSD or GSD mix recently. But everything we have seen(looks and standard wise) is exactly like your pups and other Mal videos we've seen. Her ears aren't standing, but have started coming up in the past week(7 weeks). We got her at 4 weeks(she was dumped in the desert to fend for herself) and have been doing what we can and knew from other breeds we've had and your videos have been a real eye opener and we're starting these types of things today(with the sits, downs, stands, objects). She's very confident, mouthy, and loud. But anyway, thank you for these because they all fit her to a tee and make so much sense. doing my best for a sound dog, mix or not.

Hello, first off I want to say I love your videos, they are very helpful! Secondly, I have a question for you, maybe you answered it in a video already but I haven't seen it, so I have heard from multiple people that if you want your dog to be a guard dog (or service) you can't let your pup be petted by strangers. For example, when im at the park people always want to pet her, she is still young and in training. I dont mind the attention she is getting but I just keep hearing this thing in the back of my mind. Would really appreciate your input. Thank you.

Are those GSD or Belgian Malinois? My puppies looked exactly like them when I got them.. The back yard breeder told me they were GSD. Now that they're 6 months old they look like a cross. Mine have the wrong colors and patched for a GSD plus the leap around, the one can climb/ jump over a 4 ft fence. They play really rough and chase after each other like they are taking down a small deer. The one wants to fiight a adult male Pit Bull. She even trys to hump him.

I can remember when my blue dutchie was that size. Now he's 73 pounds and now he's a beast lol. Very affectionate but very lethal. He's chased two mountain lions off the ranch I work for, and he ate a illegal 👽 piece of shit that tried to car Jack me after they caused me to almost wreck my truck. Best dog's ever. Dude tried to pull a club out on me. Warned him 4 times then said fuck it and put the dude on the menu. Zero bite training! He just comes from strong knpv style blood lines. He instinctually new what to do. That's what good breeding creates.

What's the best way of dealing with this? - Thanks

@l_anzett20583 жыл бұрын
what the hell are you talking about? playing tug with a dog does not teach them to be mouthy, or if it did then any toy would teach them that. playing tug is an opportunity to bond with the dog, as it's not fighting you, but fighting the toy with you, a team effort. if you are worried about a dog being mouthy then look into teaching bite inhibition, research for yourself and don't believe everything you read or hear, because this is funny.

The pup prob got bloated from eating to fast and threw up because of it. Nothing to worry about. Pups are going to puke, poop, and pee in the early stages if life. Its inevitable. Try feeding him with a Kong ball to slow the eating process or a slow feed bowl.

Stonnie - Excellent video! I live in Cuenca, Ecuador and was wondering how guard dogs are trained. I rescued 2 abandoned black labs at different times. The male I rescued at about 1 month old and he will never be a guard dog. He's too meek, mild and lovable. He wants to be everyone's friend. The female was already about 3 months old and a street fighter. She will pick a fight with any dog larger than her and barks every chance she gets. They are now about 5 months and I can barely get a bark out of the male. When they play fight each other then he will bark. Any chance he will get macho??

Be sure to find out what they are fearful of and work it out of them slowly , I was a rooky and made a few mistakes , don't worry dogs are very forgiving.

@FirstnameLastname-xh9gd4 жыл бұрын
If she isn't a purebred it makes sense. Also, there will always be that one or two dogs that aren't like how their breed acts. Remember, all dogs have their own personalities too. Some don't like to play and rather lounge around. It is important though to be active. So give her various toys to choose from. Teach her different tricks and take her out to dog parks to socialize her and maybe then her play will come out. If nothing works then maybe she's just not an active type but still try to take her on walks everyday and yes Belgian malinois are very very active, they need a ton of stimulation. Like I said you may just have a couch potato but that's perfectly okay.

Belgian Malinois are not a recommended breed for first-time dog owners. They are a VERY high energy breed and require extensive exercise and training or else they can become very destructive and potentially aggressive.
@kole61464 жыл бұрын
No. Unfortunately most people are not ready for the explosion of drive these guys have. They take a lot of time and patience. They are dangerous if you don't stay on top of everything they do. You should almost need a license to have these guys. More of a weapon rather than a traditional pet. But if you have a good head on your shoulders you can do it. Just not recommend for first time.
