Latest Update: The CBC finally included me in their program. They wrapped me up into a report talking about influencers connected to Chinese government campaigns, didn't publish my response where I said I was not connected to any kind of campaign, went as far as making me seem like I only made excuses for this suspected campaign and as if I didn't dispute the accusations against me/admitted to being a part of it. The icing on the cake is not only did they not publish my comments on how problematic and dishonest it is to uncritically include outlets like ASPI in mainstream media reports without any disclaimer, they proceeded to.... uncritically include ASPI in their report without any disclaimer. Overall, the final product became a shining example of the exact kind of media dishonesty I spoke about in the very interview with them. I made a short thread here comparing their footage with my original full interview. It's very revealing and proves beyond any reasonable doubt that the CBC is an untrustworthy dishonest propaganda outlet pretending to be fair/balanced news organization: twitter.com/DanielDumbrill/status/1490538561187241988 ------------------- previous pinned message, The CBC decided to drop me from their report, presumably after being unable to sufficiently cut me out of context, and in favour of keeping their coverage as one-sided as usual, opting instead to boost Uyghur separatists literally surrounded by the East Turkestan separatist flag. I'll eventually upload the entire interview, but if you'd like to see three short highlight clips in the meantime, navigate to the subtweets below this Twitter thread: twitter.com/DanielDumbrill/status/1488668516404191233

You certainly found the formula on how to beat the media but at the same time it limits your message, I guess it's still best else you will for sure be a Genocide denier. Well done on one more great video. If you have the cbc interview recorded it would be lovely to hear it, Jayo Matt did similar with NYT and the spin doctors of NYT vs his recording is a sad piece of journalistic propaganda work.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5K2aaWXpNGLjdE If you do not respond to this Dan, it shows a complete and utter ignorance. If Chinese media can report it, why can you not question the content in the South China Morning post report.?????????? I am not anti China. I have Chinese relatives and friends, but critical thinking is being smart. Many countries do wrong. Ignorance and pointing fingers to deflect is the sign of a very insular or indoctrinted human. Or the other alternative is a person who sees money with no regard for anything that has no impact on them.

Daniel, I do not use Twitter and so would very much appreciate it if you'd download that content onto your KZbin channel. Thanks. I hope you understand that I find Twitter to be too cacophonous. We have free speech in the United States. Or rather, free speech for the majority but not the minority. Free speech that comes at the expense of others. A freedom that trods on the freedoms of all other ethnicities and minorities rather than the mainstream views, and a silencing of speech that doesn't support your views by the use of propaganda, which influences the minds of people and turns them into a weapon against anyone that doesn't agree with them. Remember Abu Ghraib and the war in Iraq over fake weapons of mass destruction. If you dare to question this, then you are deemed unpatriotic. Talk about double-standards.

The removal of traditional grave sites may be due to several reasons - such as deteriorating cemetery structures (relocation to more modern facilities which can be better maintained), re-designation of land use, etc. This practice is not singled out to just the Uyghurs but across the board; additionally this is done in other countries as well.

Agreed. It's a combination of the *Red Scare* (fear of communism) and the *Yellow Peril* (fear of Asians overrunning the West) that's fueling anti-China sentiment in the West. Since the 19th century, many have grown accustomed to the notion of Western dominance, so much that the very thought of a *non-Western, non-Liberal Democratic* country like China eventually surpassing the United States someday in the future, is simply too frightening for many to fathom.

I made many comments on different platforms about the HK rioters (moderated to protesters by many moderators) Nothing was said about the police wearing diapers in order not to leave their posts for many hours. Nothing was said about the injuries sustained by those protecting property. The rioters made headlines when they sustained minor injuries. Who paid for the damage to public and private property? In many of my postings I referred to joshua wong as "Judas Wong". The one who sold his soul for 30 pieces of silver. More often than not this name was moderated. He was happy to receive USD280k for his cause when he went to the US, but where is the gutless little worm now that order has been restored? Thrown out with the garbage because he didn't achieve what his masters wanted?

@@Mattrsx I remember Daniel's video about visiting Xinjiang, he asked those people who believed in the Xinjiang Genocide what signs should he look out for that indicate a genocide. They told him that the Chinese government is trying to eradicate the Uighur language, but he found that the Uighur kids in Kashgar were playing and speaking in their own language. The road signs, street signs, restaurant menus all have Uighur language written in them, so it appears that the rumors of the government trying to eradicate the Uighur language was unfounded.

Hi Daniel. The problems of the "main stream media" that you have described so well can be summed up into the following phrase: "The anglos speak with forked tongue". It was reputed to have been said by the Native Americans while reflecting and commenting on their dealings with the newly arrived settlers. It wasn't long before that treaties between the natives and the settlers were grossly violated by the latter, and the natives were murdered, pushed offed their lands and eventually "genocided". And to cap it off, all that was "whitewashed" and described and summarised as "the settlers came and needed land. So the natives relented..." What utter lies. And thus the anglo / yankee speaks with forked tongues.

@Daniel Dumbrill, it is my sincere hope you would still upload the full interview you had with the CBC, regardless how the CBC made use of the interview they have with you. I would like to think that I am entitled to have my own take on how and what the CBC might or might not do with the interview, for I might have some insight into the matter that you might not have simply because of the reality of matters as is. God speed!

Thank you for everything, Daniel. I've never been the conspiratorial type, but lately I've felt that in this war of information, we're really pushing against forces beyond just the instinct of the masses to demonize or believe on basis of emotion over reason. I spend a lot of time on Reddit and notice that people just get banned for pushing back against this narrative now without mods/admins even entertaining the facade of justifying themselves on any grounds. Happily, I also notice more and more people pushing back and I think public opinion might be slowly shifting. Every time a piece of important contextual information that's ignored or buried by mainstream media gets brought to light, a few more objective people probably walk away with suspicion of what they're being told to believe.

All of Western social media have backdoors built into them for the Pentagon. Twitter, KZbin, Reddit, Facebook. It's not the social media company's employees doing the banning, it's the propagandists/psyops working for the Pentagon, though the employees of the social media sites take the blame. Reddit in particular is so thoroughly swarming with them that it's basically under covert US military occupation.

Reading a report on the Uyghur Tribunal conducted in the UK late last year, it completely blew my mind when it insisted that genocide did take place despite officially admitting there is absolutely no evidence of mass killings (which has always been the standard used to define 'genocide'). Zero! In an obvious case of moving the goalposts, instead it based its conclusion on a separate allegation that China had instead sought to control the population of Uyghurs by other means. That of course conveniently omits the fact that China had at one time enforced a one-child policy across the entire country in a bid to avert a socioecononic crisis resulting from overpopulation, which was never deemed a form of genocide before. Plus also the fact that the Uyghur population had actually improved in number and life expectancy over the past few decades. Having seen how the WMD dossier was fabricated out of thin air and evolved into 'fact' to annihilate the muslim population of Iraq, I couldn't help but get the feeling of deja vu in this case.

Absolute Failure. You don't know your history and why the definition which China agreed to changed in 1948 by the UN. Your argument about the 1 child policy also fails because the ethnic minorities, by international law, should be rxempt from birth quota control rates. The Uighur tribunal was very independent and objective chaired by Sir Geoffrey Nice the same Chair of war criminal Milosevic during his trial

@@IkBenDigio Those overseas Chinese immigrants settle down in America, Canada, Australia, etc, and their descendants grow up immersed in Western anti-China rhetoric, so much such that some of these overseas Chinese have grown to hate their skin and culture, and just worship Western culture. And they channel this self-hating sentiment into hating the Communist Party of China. Whereas most Chinese mainlanders actually support the CPC. And the rising anti-Asian hate is targeting people of Asian descent (including Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnams) even though these Asian Americans (or Asian Canadians, Asian Australians, etc) aren't communist party members themselves, so is the hate really against the CPC or against Asian people themselves?

@@IkBenDigio The bad for what it is? China is currently *at peace and not at war* with any country, since our last major conflict in 1979. Instead of making war, China is building infrastructure like _roads, railways, highways, bridges, tunnels, powerstations, dams, ports, airports,_ etc and investing in developing countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and also African countries like Nigeria, Kenya, Chad, Sudan, Ghana, Mozambique, Tanzania, etc. Whereas the United States is *warmonger* being involved in Gulf War, Iraq War, Afghan War, Libyan War, Syrian War, Yemen War, etc, even in the 21st century. USA is bombing in those Middle Eastern countries and enacting regime change by cutting off their "heads" (Saddam Hussein, Muammar Gaddafi, etc) and then installing their own US puppet governments in place. If anything, it looks like the United States is a threat to global peace and stability here.

Mr Izgil’s memoir, “Waiting to Be Arrested at Night”, zooms in on the years 2014-17, when Xinjiang was transformed, step by step, into a panopticon of state control. In his youth, Mr Izgil spent three years in prison and in a labour camp as punishment for allegedly trying to take illegal materials abroad. After his release, he found work in film-making, writing poetry on the side. He became a savvy navigator of the invisible red lines in Xinjiang, negotiating with censors and throwing off local officials (often Uyghurs themselves) who harassed him. But then Uyghur books were banned; Islamic names were forbidden; butchers had their knives chained to posts. Mr Izgil and his wife were summoned to a police basement, where officers took their blood and scanned their faces and voices. He heard of mass detentions in the countryside, then saw police rounding people up in the city. One by one, Mr Izgil’s friends vanished. He started sleeping with warm clothes by his bed and told his wife to forget him if he was taken. They fled by bribing doctors to fake a daughter’s sickness. In 2017 Mr Izgil reached America with his family. But he was dogged by grief for those they left behind who were being crushed by the government. “Night after night/one after another/I spoke the names of ants I’ve known,” he wrote in a poem. Even those who are ostensibly free are guilt-ridden. “We live with the coward’s shame hidden in that word ‘escape’,” he writes.
