Talk about a blast from the past. Has Brie Larson finally learned her lesson after nuking her movie career and spending the past five years in the wilderness? Let's find out.

All she did was keep her mouth shut. She's been doing that for years now. Based on what she said it seems obvious that she still believes what she always did, she's just learned that it's best to keep some opinions to yourself.

Exactly, thank you. I said the exact same thing just with different words. I'm all for forgiveness, when it's been properly earned and the person actually shows through years of hard work that they understand they screwed up and are genuinely sorry. This is not what's happened at all.

So? That's what people have been telling them for years. We don't care if they believe differently. They're aloud to as well. But we don't want that preached to us from their platforms of entertainment. Nothing wrong with the change. It's what was asked for.

Agreed. The quotes in the article read, to me, more like "I'm not going to comment on this because I know I'll further tarnish my image the way my previous takes on this topic did." This smacks of public image damage control more so than change or redemption imo. She was posting that kind of stuff on her social media before she was cast as Captain Marvel and working for Marvel/Disney.

My opinion of her is a very simple one from what i've seen: She is the type that says and does only what she thinks will make her the most popular at that moment in time. She thought insulting us back then would impress the right people and anger only those that she does not care about. And now, with her career in trouble and the winds shifting in Hollywood, suddenly there is a ''redemption arc''. Feel free to forgive her if you want but remember this: people like this will always shift back the moment she feels as if she has to.

Brie reminds me of my sister, it's really uncanny. It took nearly 35 years, but she cashed out every social coin she could with every member of our family, including extended members. Now she exists as an abstract for us all, nobody has spoken to her in a couple years, and when she comes up it's as a sort of collective sigh.

The key here is Brie being mid-30s. She hit the wall, and men aren't chasing after her like they used to. They aren't smiling and nodding at her f'nist BS in the hope of getting laid. The acting jobs have dried up and they aren't coming back.

All these kinds of celebrities, like the ones in the "Imagine" music video, are actively planning how to be more famous, make more fans, etc. It's all they care about, and if that means going radio silent for a year and stop talking about Captain Marvel, then that's what they will do. Of course she pays attention, she and her agent or publicist always have. She even said "I don't know if I'm coming back doesn't everyone hate me?" Right before or after Marvels dropped. Larson 100% still believes in her ultra-feminist ideas, but she's gotten the memo that her 2019-era antics have been a big part of her career downturn and is simply keeping quiet to save whatever career she has left. So, it's perhaps not surprising that Gal Gadot has strong opinions on the topic of feminism. The actress - who had almost given up on her film career when she landed Hollywood's most badass female role - believes anyone who is not a feminist is by default sexist. "People always ask me, 'Are you a feminist?'" Gadot tells Rolling Stone, in a new interview out this month. "And I find the question surprising, because I think, 'Yes, of course. Actors, especially child actors, are not normal people. Regular teenagers are expected to say and do a variety of stupid things -- receive correction, learn and grown, so hopefully by your 20s the young person is mostly socialized for their environment. Actors, for too many reasons, are denied this, and somehow get into their 20s and 30s and respond like teenagers. In the past, the studios didn't want their stars speaking their own opinions, or even having one. Maybe the typical actor should just return to that mode -- shut up ... dance monkey dance.
