This looks very worthy of my investment. I carry a 6" Ti lite and have been everyday for over a year now but I'm really considering Mr. Williams taste and designs lately.

I just purchased this knife after hrs of looking at blades. I was specifically looking for a blade to help fend off dogs and get a solid stab and slice if I need to. I spend alot of time outdoors and don't always carry a sidearm. I have a sickening feeling that the blade release will get pushed in a heated situation. Why on earth would the release button be where it could be pushed accidentally?! I don't know, maybe it won't.

Very nice knife. It looks like it could be a OTF design also but it seems to be way more reliable. 👊

I don't think Williams would ever do an OTF.

Update: i got my inazuma in the mail last night. I am completely happy with it. Ive been flipping and getting a feel for it. My previous concern was that it may be possible to push the close button during extreme use. I feel now, however, that this will not be an issue. If that happens, then the weilder has already lost his purchase on the knife handle and is about to cut himself because his hand is to close to the blade. I bought this knife as a self/family defense from dogs. I believe that this is the perfect knife to be able to stab and slice a dogs underbelly as they jump up to attack. I might end up needing stitches, granted the size of the dog, but aside from a fixed blade this is my new defense knife. Ill update further on the knifes longevity later.

Hi there, I work with high end real ancient japanese swords of all sorts, and I am italian-japanese, so let me explain a couple things about Williams designs! First, you didn't really butcher the name hehehe. So, the shape is called "Osoraku-Zukuri" it is when the flat portion of the blade takes a huge belly (what is commonly referred as tanto, it really is called kissaki) the vertical line shifting in a super long kissaki is called Yokote, very visible in this designs. Most katana collectors today prefer an O-Kissaki, a very long kissaki, I don't, i like a chu-kissaki. This knife is barely, or not at all adaptable to an edc. This is intended as a weapon to cut an opponent or stab, preferrably stabbing and drag twisting the blade slashing out. I assure you Williams knives are really brutal on this aspect, it is intended to slash soft tissues. It's a kind of blade that you need to know how to use. Think of it as the last portion on a japanese sword, firm wrist and slide the belly. A very interesting way to use it is with the blade facing upwards, slashing from below and up, both in hammer, saber or icepick grip. I want to point out that especially the Hissatsu Folder isn't very sharp. A razor edge may cut the opponent yet he wouldn't feel the cut, (hissatsu comes from a bushido term "Ikken Hissatsu" meaning "certain death/annihilation with a single strike". A blade slightly less sharpened is extremely painful and the aggressor will feel that, like serrated blades, they are generally meant too cut fibers but cutting someone with a serrated edge is extremely painful (check out matriarch 2 from Spyderco). Like dagger blades, this design has the only purpose to be a weapon. If you get a dagger blade (microtech, counter tac 1..) don't expect to use it as an edc good enough. Williams talks of it way too little, that's a weapon that requires a commitment to violence and trust me, it works.
