I know this is 2 years old, but you can take a heat gun to the sheath part, get it warm and press it together a little more so that the catch is tighter. Pretty easy fix.

The Karambit Minimalist looks awesome. I have the Persian as well and I love it, wearing it right now on my neck actually! I bought the CRKT MInimalist Persian to piggy-back on a kydex sheath along with my Becker Bk9 once I get it. and then it'll match the kydex as well as some G10 scales I'm planning on getting, Ranger green.

I know it's not ideal, but I sometimes put a strip of duct tape inside the sheath at the contact point when the sheath grabs the knife. It works quite well, and it's not permanent so you don't end up botching the whole affair.

lol...honestly, this is the last thing I'd think to bring with me to a gym. It's a great little knife and perfect for breaking down pallets with thick shrink wrap or various cords on certain products. Also useful on some of the tougher plastic seals that a manufacturer/distributor will place on your trailer after picking up a load. Truck driver stuff.

Use a heat gun to warm the sheath. Then with gloves and the knife in the sheath, press on the sheath near the opening and this will tighten the sheath around the knife. Problem solved.

I, also, wear the Minimalist daily. I’d love to see the CRKT S.P.E.W. with the Minimalist handle design. Great videos!

Should never be your primary knife...... but is a decent backup or when u can't carry a main knife. They fall out of the sheath over time from being drawn and resheathed. Works excellent on a belt. I'm speaking of the Bowie style. It will work for SD. Have a buddy that was able to get 3 guys off of him w it

Mine doesn't sheath well either. It's sad because I love the blade so much.

So glad you commented on the sheath..because that also has to be made really well.. Proper retention of the blade especially a bigger blade is super important 👌 I have the Minimalist cleaver and it's excellent 👌 Sheath retains really well 👌and the Sheath is thin and truly minimalistic which I 👍no printing then.. The Persian is a beautiful knife.. They just have to change that sheath drastically to match a superb knife.. One thing they do have to bare in mind is to still stick to the minimalistic approach of these knives...because that's one of the reasons they are selling like 🥞...haha 👍..seriously though

Hi EDC WITH ME! Subscriber Nr 293 here! I like the Minimalist but I wish they would use a better Steel! Anyway, thanks for showing the new blade. Greetings from Austria

I agree about the steel, but for the cost it is a great tool.

just plastic weld with a soldering iron that plastic seam and that will take care of it

I wonder if it would be liable to catch that upswept tip when drawing or re sheathing. They had it so perfect from the first release of the Bowie, it's hard to imagine they would change it for no reason.

Sucks you had retention issues with the sheath, mine arrived perfect out of the box.

I suppose I must be the only one who finds this habit of saying "super" before everything to add emphasis very very irritating.
