Samus sucks (sadly) but I've been winning more than losing online with Ridley, he's actually great, just remember to use his air attacks. Particularly his neutral air, it's awesome. Up air is great for kills. Both forward air and back air are good. Fireballs are important. I'm still not landing that awesome down special very often, though.
