That looks incredibly soft. The Bavarian stitch usually looks a bit stiff. Beautiful!, The details are gorgeous! I get inspiration looking at new fashions and looking up the stitches either for future reference, or to make something new & different!

This is absolutely beautiful. I see that it is working in the round. This may be a silly question but I want to be sure I chain for as wide as I want it to be and it won’t get wider as I go along and it will just get longer. I hope this makes sense. Thank you for a wonderful tutorial.
@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel
@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel 3 жыл бұрын
it will get wider, this grows on all sides chain it to half of what you need it to be. This is designed to make bed spreads the number of circles you make depicts the shape 2 will keep it square all around 3 will make it a little longet than the width 5 will make it rectangle, so lets say its for a baby cot/crib make 7 sections and work it until its long but not to wide like a baby crib/cot blanket once you make one you will see what I mean. (when you do it in the round it always stays square) this way you can make it longer but not so wide if you know what I mean.

Lyndie, have faith in yourself get your yarn and hook and crochet along with me you can start with 3 sets of 8 stitches it will still grow big 3 will make a square 5 a rectangle and 7 or more will make a big long rectangle but start with 3 and work along with me. pause or rewind the video you can do it. No one cares how many times you have to rewind and watch you are at home no one will see everything takes time. Try it use a double knitting its slightly thinner and might be more manageable use a hook the yarn label says give it a try.

@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel yes Alison. I get very happy with your happy mail. It makes you so happy and that makes me happy for you and Mutley. I laugh! I quote you so well with my sister. I imitate you so well on Happy Mail day. I tell my sister what your gonna say when you open the bag and pull out your first ball and say: Oh my goodness. Look at this beautiful yarn. so soft and squishy and smells delightful, you know I think I am going to Crochet a Pram! My sister cracks up laughing at me doing your talk, accent and all and then I throw a roll of yarn on the floor and then tell my imaginary Mutely to go play with it and keep yourself busy! I and my sister enjoy you very much. Then I say to my sister, hurry up and stop fawning over the one ball of yarn, I got four bags to open up. Alison, she says Rosie, you sound just like your Teacher and we both be crying in laughter! Hope this note makes you merry for a Merry Heart doeth good like a Medicine! Have a beautiful day. ❤❤❤❤

Allison, I’m really learning from your videos. Thank you so much. I am starting this blanket and am having a bit of trouble understanding what I am supposed to do with the last four stitches at the end of the first row before I turn my work upside down. Thanks!
@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel
@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel 4 жыл бұрын
the sets of 4 are for corners, if you watch the video again and see what i do with the 4 stitches you are talking about. That might help better than me typing it all out. I am useless at written explanations that's why i don't writ out patterns.

@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel I did a double crochet in to that 4th space then began the fan. I think that’s correct

Wow Alison this is beautiful, even though you explained it excellently I think it’s too difficult for me. Not quite a beginner but not advanced enough for this. Is it easier starting in the middle? Could you do tutorial for that way please Alison 💕

Lovely effect...not sure I'm up for this one yet! Definitely on my bucket list! Saved for later though. I'm from Newfoundland but taught myself to crochet from a US book..lol..caught in the middle of terms..all my British books and hooks!

Can't wait to make a blanket. Since times I get missed up since you don't use American terms

Hi I totally agree, why does UK have to be different, most countries use American terms and they’re so much simpler and easier to understand x
@Nobodyknowsreally

I guess it depends where you learned to crochet. I learned in the UK and then moved to Australia, where we use the same terminology as the UK does. It certainly can be confusing!

Hi Alison, I don't know if you know that your video recording is quite blurry / fuzzy. I don't have the greatest eyesight and wear glasses, so when seeing this my eyes can't ajust what you are showing. However I have followed other Tutorials from you and have been great. Keep up the good work and looking forward of doing more crocheting with you on your tutorials .
