I somehow get extra stitches when i work off pattern. Cannot figure out where they are coming from. I double and triple check stitches. I worked, frogged, and reworked 3 times now. LOVE THIS VIDEO. I ended row 13 with 3 extra stitches... Grr

Looks much easier when you watch him do it. Charts also make it much easier looking. I hate a lot of words. Thank you for the demonstration!

Mikey, you are the "BEST" instructor I have seen on any crochet projects; I am 73 and can follow your instructions. I purchased this pattern and already you showed me my error! I was going to give up and "voila," I was doing another project with your lead & found this. YAY!! Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for sharing Mikey. The tutorial may be long but it was worth it. I'm making one in Caron Cotton Ripple Cakes in the color way of Meadow. It is actually easier than I thought it would be. Have a beautiful day.

Beautiful shawl, with gorgeous colors. This will definitely go in my to-do archives.

You did an incredible job with this one. Both the stitching and the colors are so pretty. I am longing for a chance to recreate this one myself. If only I didn't have 3 kids under 3 in the house I would be working on it right now. Thank you again so much for making these tutorials. I would never have been brave enough to try this other wise.

At 26:25 when you do the point in dark blue DTs, row 3 I believe, you mention we are always doing the same at the point, and you put in 2 DT, ch 2, 2 DT. Prior to this row we were putting in DT, ch2, DT, then HD, ch 2, HD, row 3 starts a new point with the 2 dt.
@TheCrochetCrowd4 жыл бұрын
The first time is just 1 dtr, ch 2, 1 dtr... You are right. I mispoke. It's 2 dtr, ch 2, 2 dtr for the remaining beyond that. Thanks for calling that to our attention.

This is great! I’ve been looking for a new shawl pattern and have some Caron simply soft sparkly stuff I’ve been wanting to use so I guess I know this is going in my to do project.

Thanks Mikey, you did a great job, I actually watched the whole video. Your choice of colors are pretty, I prefer it to the speckle ones, the speckle ones are pretty but too busy or messy.

Thanks so very much in advance - and you truly ARE THE BEST!!!!!!! X

Okwy on row 17th I'm confused 😕 Am I doing 1 DTR , then 1 DTr skip a space and have a total of 5, then two sets 5 DTR in next two stitches. Then do my nine skip stitches . Then two sets 5 DTR in the next 2 stitches and repeat this 3 times 🤔

Hi, this is a fabulous pattern, thank you. Is there a larger version of the diagram pattern on page 3, it is a little small for me, I find it a little difficult to count the stitches.
@TheCrochetCrowd3 жыл бұрын
If you contact yarnspirations through their website, they may be able to provide it. What I do for myself is blow up the diagram on screen, do a screen shot of the diagram only and then do a preview to print that screen shot.

You did a wonderful job on this one. I can’t wait to get it done. I can’t find you notes though. I’m not saying there not there I’m just saying I can’t find them. I’m on row 13 and for some reason I’m lost.

Hi I think you missed the dtr that's after the first 3 of row 7, because I was doing as you said and it doesn't match the chart and I don't get 6 to the center point of row 9. You said do the 5 with the skips, but that misses a stitch going by the chart? Sorry if I'm not very clear.

How do you think this would look with a 4 ply yarn?

How much yardage would you need if you made this in a single color?? Surely it wouldn't be the same 1,645 needed for the 3 different colors?
@TheCrochetCrowd4 жыл бұрын
Approximately 1010 yards. I got this from the Lacy Shawl which is the sister to this. It's similar and uses just 1 self striping yarn. Hopefully this helps.

Okay I'm now on row 19th and nothing is adding up once again 😭 I've recounted all my work and stitches before and everything was okay... But now I'm short on stitches and I don't understand ... I need help please 😭
@TheCrochetCrowd4 жыл бұрын
How many are you short by. Can you fake it?
@smith39374 жыл бұрын
Okay I've been following you to a T and now I'm on row 7 and I don't have enough stitches to make the skip 5 right before my stitch marker 😭 What shall I do 🤔
thanks... I knew I was going to slip up. I was struggling to keep saying double treble over and over because it's not a stitch I use that often. I'm sorry.

@@TheCrochetCrowd Mikey, you did a fantastic job with the tutorial! I was just throwing this out there for people that may end up asking about it. Im shocked it didn't happen more, because it seems to be a tongue twister.

Are you crocheting in the back or front loops?
@TheCrochetCrowd3 жыл бұрын

Neither front or back. When needed it's crocheted around the front posts.

The longer I talk, the more minutes I had to the closed captioning team. So I am conscious. It takes the team 8 minutes to caption 1 minute of my talk.
