Every row is a bit confusing I cannot get the increse that she made. Its not beginner friendly because its too fast. Also how the finishing row goes? Would like to try but the patter every row is confusing. Hoping to have more instruction on the description box.

I just want to let you know I love your tutorials and patterns. I might have to go back because I didn’t understand the increase- how many to do and why. I don’t understand how the counting works and I have never read a pattern.

okay so im going to explain this the best i can, so when you are doing the increase you increase using the back stitch instead of the front stitch and then continue the next four using the front stitch.

IF YOU ARE LOST ON INCREASES PLEASE READ: I don't know how to write it in pattern form but on the round 6 (i think) or wherever she is doing that increase everyone seems to be getting lost on. The increase is that she is ADDING a new front post doble crochet stitch as an increase. Notice there are 2 dc in between the posts. *She is doing 1 dc, making a fpdc around the "post" (back stitch?) between the 2 dc stitches. Which we have been skipping over to go right to the next post, but this round to increase, we are doing a front post double crochet to increase. Then doing a dc in that other dc stitch. * *^^^This is the increase^^^* Then after the increase, she doing another "set" of 4 and then repeats that little blurb above to make another increase. I think you should be ending with 72 stitches at the end of that round. I hope this helps someone out!

Hello sirin, this is a question. I have finished until get 72 stiches but i think i need to increase more. So in the next row, do i have to repeat like before or make a normal stiches then inc the next row? I hope u understand what i mean. 😅

On row 4 I’ve tried and tried to get 60 stitches and I come up with 57 I’m using a 4.5 mm hook

Hi Jacqueline. You are skiping some increases I think. Count your stitches, for the row 3 do you have 30 stitches? If you have, that's good. In the row 4 you will make an increase for each stitches. So you will double the stitch number.

I had to frog row 3, 4 times until I counted 30 stitches. I don't know where I was making the mistake but I said hallelujah when the stitch count finally came out right, lol!

I appreciate the video but I just spent hours and hours frogging and redoing rows I didn’t understand, only for there to be no instructions on how the even end it off. I’m sitting here with a huge wheel that isn’t shaped like a hat and no idea where to go from here. I don’t even understand where the “back post/front post” double crochet is supposed to be coming in at row 7, nor how often. I’m not super new to crocheting, but it’s been 6 years since I last did it and I’m picking it back up again and need refreshers. I wish I had known before I sat down that this wasn’t going to show the full pattern.

Question: for round 2 to began and end with a front post double crochet as shown in the video it ends with an odd number of stitches (19), but then round 3 goes back to an even number (30). Is round 2 meant to begin or end with a regular double crochet? In my brain that seems right but I've watched that part of the video over and over again and it truly seems like you're beginning and ending round 2 with front post double crochet.. am I missing something?

You can slow down her voice in the settings. I do it 50 percent slower or .75 depending

Avoid at al costs. This video does not take you to crochet a hat. Its missing steps, bot showing the decreases needed to actually create the hat and even for an experienced crocheter is not easy to follow...
