I think you made a mistake in the writing on the screen bc you start with 8sc but then its written 6 inc when you do 8 inc ? Or am i mistaken ?

Yes, I noticed that here where you sl st x 18… 7:23 but as it’s 8 not 6 in the mc, and you’ve done a sc, inc around.. that’s 8 x 3 = so it’s 24 sl st you need to do to finish obviously 🤗 But these are great eyes, ty! I loved doing them and they look great!

@@stitchaspellMilan thanks for following along!!!! The second eye is exactly the same but you switch up the coloured stitches, so you would do dark, the medium then light. The white glint stays in the same spot for both eyes 😉💜🤩 hope that helps!!!

Nice. Ive been learning crochet since the beginning of February and jist needle felting in the eyes since ive been using tight stitches and acrylic yarn. Ill definitely give this a try if i use more plush yarn types.

Needle felting is great too!! Welcome to the world of crochet!!! You can absolutely use this on smaller yarn types too, just need to make a smaller sized eye to fit 😜

Why do you switch the direction of your yarn over within a single crochet stitch? Does it create a specific look?

It does! It actually makes the stitches tighter and creates an ‘x’ appearance to them instead of a ‘v’ type appearance. But there’s truly no right or wrong way to yarn over for this particular eye 😜

I LOVE these!! What do you use to hold your eyes in place while you sew? It looks like it holds it really well! I have a problem with straight pins coming out while I sew.

This was very helpful. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch more than about 5 minutes because the hot pink background hurt my eyes. It was almost like staring into the sun. A different or lighter color would be helpful.
