Everything was beautiful Glenda and flooded me with warm memories of my "Nanny" (paternal grandmother) making hundreds of doilies and dresser scarves. She also crocheted afghans. She tatted on pillowcases she embroidered. And she made beautiful quilts with identical tiny stitches. I'm the only one of her four grandchildren who appreciates her work. None of the greats so far are interested either. It's sad. You have accomplished so much. The most significant in my eyes is seeing Cody following in your footsteps. I am thrilled each time I see anything he crochets. I hope he continues, as he seriously has the talent. Thank you for sharing!

Vintage crochet at it's best, these doilies are treasures, all so beautiful. My Mother crocheted so many doilies, she was such a hard worker, she would sit in the evening and crochet, that was her way of relaxing. I love the glove on the stretcher, I have always liked to see ladies wearing gloves.

O my goodness they are so dainty and in good shape...I loved the 3rd from the end not including the afghan. Its the mandala looking one . So intricate. All were gorgeous. The netted glove was so vintage looking .Some could have been copied from the originals which is brilliant because it enlightens folks to keep the art and design patterns in the present day. Great treasure find 🧶 Thank you CG for showing what you found . An inspiration indeed ✨

I love making doilies! These are gorgeous! I don't take offense to cheaper prices in antique or thrift shops. It gives people who can't afford these wonderful items a chance to own one or so. Yes, I do hope, eventually, my family will have a fun time distributing my lovingly made items amongst themselves. But, if others get a chance to have one, so be it. I crochet daily for my enjoyment. The creativity is endless.

I especially liked the colorful star potholder. I think these were meant to be used decoratively. The blanket at the end was great, my kind of colors. All the items were beautiful & such great finds. As a former antique dealer, I can honestly say I would have bought all of those items for my shop. I could never have resisted taking that that sweet crocheted glove home to add to the Victorian hand made items I’ve collected for years.

I love the antique glove w/stretcher. So pretty & and prolly tea-dyed? Loved the lil hat pincushion. I was thinking I had a pattern somewhere, I hope I do. Gorgeous addition as decoration for a baby's room w/diaper pins sticking out or antique hat pins elsewhere. I especially like that last afghan. I think I've seen that pattern before. Surely it's on the Internet somewhere. But I really love all your finds. Thx for "rescuing" & sharing them w/us 😍

Hi Glenda, love your videos. Wow, what cool finds. Never know what you'll see at a flea market or antique store. Love the old items...I would hope young folks would appreciate those items, a lost art. I tried tatting to make a doiley and of course you can crochet them too. Have you ever tried tatting? I prefer the needle over the shuttle method. I'm going to go to our local flea market this weekend, see what I can find. Also looking for some ceramic bisque items to paint for the holidays! 😁 Thanks for sharing
