for everyone who made a longer foundation chain and ended up having a very long part for the mesh, i decreased by 2 boxes on each row instead of one so the last box stops just around my hip area which is perfect ! :)

Heyy, sorry for the late response but I chose which side I wanted to create the slant and on that side I decreased. To decrease I yarned over placed the needle into the first stitch yarn over again and placed the needle into the bigger hole and pulled through 2 yarn over and pulled through 2 again and I did this only on that side, hope I explained it well ❤️

When you're decreasing, you do 2 decrease in a row( for eg: i did my 2 decrease at the start of the second row). When you turn the work, do you do the 2 decrease at the start or wait until the end of the row where you did the first 2 decreases?

Hello! I’ve done the sme amount of stitches as you so 67 chain, and my mesh part is coming out pretty long. Im on row 12 and its not even half way. Should i continue until its 1 single or should i start doing 2 decreases per row. If i do 2 decreases how would that look? Any advice it appreciated! This top is so cute!

I figured it out gang!! I had to watch it over a bunch and do my own trial and error but before you get to the last square/space (on the side you're decreasing) yarn over, go into the space, pull up, go into the next CHAIN, not space, pull up, yarn over and go through 3 then yarn over go in the last 2. When you turn do the same thing but in reverse.

yes ! but i recommend making it a little smaller just so it's not too slack! -- edit: that's if you want a full, wrap around bandeau, if you want it to be a string back then maybe half or 2/3rds of the bust measurement!

Gosh if you’re that much of a beginner that this tutorial isn’t working for you then I’d say the issue is you need some more practice or better critical thinking. The crochet community does not claim people who bully artists for trying to show us how to recreate their work. There’s also such a thing as ASKING NICELY if you’re confused 🙄 I’m sure making tutorials is not as easy as it looks but @JYNXCLUB you did a really good job thank you for sharing this ❤

for mine, I single crocheted instead and started decreasing on row 2. single crocheting does give you smaller holes but it does decrease a lot faster!

you should've given a 360 of the entire top. when you said length i thought you meant the entire circumference of the bust, not just the front. Although this is not a beginner tutorial, you should've been clearer with the instructions.

I’m sorry , I showed a flat rectangle as oppose to single crocheting in a circle and around 2:30 ish I said it was a corset back , let me know how I could be more clear for next time .

But honestly people should always watch the whole video before starting the project, and at the end the finished product clearly shows the back. Love those colours ! Honestly I would do the tube top part two colours and on the last row start the 3rd colour and let it drag on to the mesh part and let that be be one big colour and then whatever colour you did for the 2nd colour I’d make that the colour for the detailing so (strings etc )

@@MaryJoyPitogo-s6s hey this is a corset top but If you want it tk fit exactly to your size , measure your bust and waist ,then find the middle measurement between those two measurements that you got and divide that measurement by 2 and that would be the width your top needs to be

Sorry for the late reply ! It was strong to me Because I used such a small hook with a thicker yarn but you can absolutely go back down the chain and make it 2 rows or how ever thick you’d want the string to be.

Heyy!! Sorry for the late respond but for the closed back you’d do the same stitches but you’ll be working in a circle as opposed to working from one end to the other then turning your work.

For example for open back my bust is 25 inches and my waist is 29, the middle measurement would be 27 inches and then I’d divide by 2 so I’d do a 13.5 inch chain to start and go from there but for a closed back I’d just make a 27 inch chain and connect it and continue in a circular pattern to create a closed back

You can’t get the top made, sorry to hear that but this isn’t a beginner friendly video , I created a top and made this pattern on my own and decided to share a FEW ways to make it for free … mine you I’m not being paid a cent , I know I did something right because most people did get this top made from my pattern so it’s not all bad but you’re welcome to making your own pattern and making your own in depth tutorial ! 🫶🏽🫶🏽

Measure your bust width , chain to the length of bust , single crochet rows until you reach the length that covers bust LENGTH , then create a mesh stitch decrease ONLY ON ONE SIDE giving the slant effect continue until you have one double crochet left

The corset part : chain 4 singles go into the next stitch with a slip stitch , 4 SINGLE crochets , chain 4 slip stitch into the next stitch again and repeat until you get to the end of your bust length
