I've lost count of how many patterns I've given up on because I just couldn't form that scale stitch!!! I've finally done it and just like so many tutorials tell you ... it REALLY isn't as difficult as you think! Thank you for this beautiful little gingerbread house. As you can probably tell, I'm now working on the snowy roof!

The first time I saw this video, I was new to crochet and gave up on the pattern early on. This year I came back, and had no problems finishing. Now I'm working on a second one to give away next Christmas (just starting on the second gabled wall), with a plan to make one per month so I can give even a few more out next year. I've had a lot of fun making this house.
