It's a lot of extra work for me, but I am always curious to see if what I visualize in my mind (textures, sizes, color combinations) is at least a close approximation to the finished piece. So if it's a new idea or just an old classic I find that I like too offer examples of the same/similar pattern but with different fibers and or approaches. As an artist with a very robust "imagination" and a very active dreaming life, I would feel quite disadvantaged if I were unable to build images in my mind. So I am happy to know you find my approach helpful and appreciate my efforts. Thank you.

OMGOODNESS 😍 Absolutely love this. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. I've received my glow in the dark yarn. For my granny skull's. Adding a couple of glow in the dark spider pockets, is a major game changer. And for that, I thank you. Stay Blessed everyone 🌻

Thank you. May I suggest you look up how to embroider chain stitches and french knots on youtube. I think this will help to clear up any confusion with regards to the sewing. But going forward, I will remember to slow down on the stitches that may be unfamiliar to some. 😊

I'm a bit confused... after the first round of the black (spider body after heart) I get 18st. So after doing (3sc, inc) x4 I get 2 st left but you only finish off with one?
@weavingwyrdstudio Жыл бұрын
Hello Yukiofromoz2573. Yes, you are correct. That's because I did skip the last stitch. This gives this rnd an end count of 21. It seems I did not verbally indicate I was skipping the stitch, however, and that was an oversight on my part. I hope this is helpful.

I only have the basic instructions written down on scrap paper as I worked out some of the kinks while designing the piece. I am sorry. I am, however, working to reorganize my ETSY store...maybe I'll consider putting my original designs into pattern form as a regular course of action. Until I can do that, I am happy to do my best to answer any questions you may have that might help clarify things for you.

Love the design. You said U.S. size 4.0 hook? but on the hook it says 3.5. I'm new at crocheting, if you could explain this to me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you and have a great day
@weavingwyrdstudio4 ай бұрын
Hello Rikk-q8v. The measurement of US hooks is denoted using a lettering and / or number system. For example: B/1, C/2, D/3, E/4, etc. In some countries, a number system is used, such as in the UK, where your typical American B hook might be classified as a size 13 hook or by milimeters (a size American B/1 hook would also be equivalent to a 2.25mm hook). The hook I am using is made by a Japanese company that often labels sizes representing different systems. So, an American 4 hook is the same/similar to a 3.50 mm hook. I hope I was able to clear up any confusion.

How can you make the square smaller?
@weavingwyrdstudio Жыл бұрын
The size is dependent on the size of thread or yarn and the hook used. So the smallest example I have was made with size 10 crochet thread, and the largest was made with 4 weight cotton.

Which one measures 4" x 4"?

None of these measures out at 4"x4". You will need to experiment with different yarns and tension if you need the exact dimensions of 4"x4".
