The stitch used in Round 4 is called a Triple Treble Crochet.

Wow I am responding to this late but basically, you can use any size yarn and a corresponding hook to make really any pattern. You just have to recognize that the yarn and hook size being bigger means the project would be bigger as well.

You could try using a bigger hook size and thicker yarn hopes that helps!

Luci your probably useing the wrong hook and yarn. Different length of yarn or crochet hook can make things look different.
