I love your laugh Clare, its sounds so sweet and it makes u sound so happy with your life, i know you’ve had sadness in your life and your Bob and Mom but u still manage to keep your laugh! Brave lady, someone must be in your life to keep u feeling so good!I know u have had problems but your loving husband let u seek professional help, when i found out i had depression, my husbsnd wouldnt let me seek professional help, so i have been crocheting and that makes me good when i do that. There was a time i had no desire to crochet, i even gave most of my wool away But i picked up my hooks and started to crochet again, bc i what u went through❤️.

I so enjoy your tutorials and your patterns (and your accent!!) But I have a request. If possible could you make something with a smallish quantity of lace weight yarn? I get the darn good yarn boxes and this month they sent out a beautiful sparkly lace weight yarn. I want to use it but I have never worked with the lace weight before and I can not for the life of me decide what I want to make with it.

I made the opening of the cowl a little larger, maybe 3 to 5 inches larger than my head size.... Anxious to see how it looks. I could not decide which poncho I liked best, the new one or the old one, so I thought I would try one in the middle
@CrochetwithClare6 жыл бұрын
oh i bet it will look great that way. would love to see the finished project on the bobwilson123 facebook page
@lacyhorton8906 жыл бұрын
@@CrochetwithClare I didn't realize you had one. I will definitely share. I'm hoping it will be big enough, I used a smaller hook size with a purposely loose tension. I just got a brand new clover hook that I have been wanting for the longest and I could not resist using it. I'm going to try to do 2 increase rounds though and 1 regular to see how it works out. I will share a pic when I have finished it. The yarn color I'm using has grown on me greatly.
@CrochetwithClare5 жыл бұрын
@@lacyhorton890 if you are using a smaller hook you will need to add more increase rounds to accommodate as the smaller hook will make a tighter tension.

Kelly green that’s the color I need since that’s my last name 😊 I know I’m just now getting around to seeing all of your pretty projects like I said this time of year is particularly worse. I guess another reason my eyesight has gone off the dr changed my seizure medication I had dizziness so bad I fell damage some nerves in my arm it’s healing now but couldn’t see well enough till now to start looking at iPad screen again or to crochet. Ah well it’s getting better now. I’ll just have to do this for name sake and it’s super cute 💗

Hello Jeanna, wow sounds like you have had a hard time ! I am so glad that you are on the mend now and get to enjoy some crochet time

I hate more than anything using chains as stitches, so no matter what the pattern is, I chain 1 or 2 (depending on height I need for the stitch) and then place my first stitch of the round or row in that same stitch. So then when I come back around I slip stitch into the first stitch, not the chain. I find this also helps fill the gap you sometimes get when you sl st at the end of rounds! Just my preference, and it works for me which is what’s nice about crochet... lots of options ❤️

G'day Amber Leitao thank you so much for your wonderful feedback

There’s another way of not having your chain twist. What u do is ch 1 then take out your hook and put your hook into the second ch. put the hook thru the i chain so it attaches to the first chain u now hVe attached the first chain s that it joins, and it cant twist on u!

Your videos are so easy to follow. Please can you tell me how many rounds of increase did you do on your poncho? Also do you have a video for invisible seam, this really bugs me that I can see it and its not in a straight line. Many thanks and Happy New Year! Xx

Can I just make a chain that fits around my head. I can never do the foundation DC.
@CrochetwithClare6 жыл бұрын
yes you could. the written pattern tells you that you can do either way, you can find the written pattern to follow along with in the information section under the video
@lacyhorton8906 жыл бұрын
I finally just learned the foundation double crochet and I am so glad that I took the time to figure it out. It is a whole new world. You are basically just going into one loop, then two loops then the last two loops. Then for the next stictch, hold your piece to where it is straight up and down and you will see your double crochet and your chain stictch actually quite clearly and you just go under both legs of the v of the previous chain and start again, go through 1 loop, then 2 loops then the last two loops. I hope that helps you

I love this pattern, and I plan on making at least one, lol...Do you think that the striping yarns will work for the spiral technique?
@CrochetwithClare7 жыл бұрын
You can try using the striped effect, you will need to join one colour on one side and then the other colour on the other side ....Does that make sense? Join the colours on opposite sides on the cowl
@MsMatador77 жыл бұрын
Thanks Claire...I'm using a self-striping yarn, the only joining I'll be doing is when I need to add a new skein, lol...
