Finally found a way to crochet a funky skirt for my six year old daughter. It worked out so well and she loves it. She tells me she wants more in other colour combinations. Thank you Claire for your wonderful, creative tutorials. You are a gem!

I absolutely love your tutorials. my mom taught me to crochet when I was 9 ( at the time i didn't want to learn but she taught me anyways) now I always have something crochet in my hands. I am currently working ( one of my many ongoing projects) on this poncho and I am using the colors Aran and BonBon. I can't wait for you next video. Beautiful! For the neck I chained in sets of 4 and joined it into a ring so I didn't have to sew the ends of the chain together later.

I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your tutorials. They are very helpful and easy to follow. I have recently taking up crocheting in the last 4 months because when my mom was alive she crocheted and it makes me feel closer to her. Hi Mr Mc, I always call them a ball, that is what i call it LOL But what you said is the correct way :) Most Aussie's that I know call a ball (eg red heart super saver) a ball of yarn

I take a piece of paper (tiny) wrap it around the yarn and push it thru the eye of the needle....easypeasy

For those of you making a skirt, make a chain that fits the widest part of your hips and work from there. The pattern is worked in multiples of 3 so keep counting 3 as you make your chain.

Hey. I'm kind of making a Frankenstein piece for myself, and I'm collecting patterns to fit my needs. This piece as a 'skirt' would be prefect for what I'm after, but I don't want it joined like a proper poncho/skirt. Is there way to turn the work, as if making a blanket and keep going that way?

last nite i also did mistake in row 1, and just realized it when almost finish the row...i pull off the yarn all over....geezz and start again! ;''' IF i did mistake again, can you teach me how to fix or trick to cover it?

If i find a mistake quick i will undo my project, if i find it later and its way to much to undo i will make a flower or something and sew it over the mistake :)

Donnie Osmond Yes I would go with the hips, the first part you start with is the part that would go around the waist :)
