Hi, Sweet Girl! I think this is my 6th one of these I'm making! It is for my MIL's 90th bday!!! Clare, I've been with you since you started. I am now fighting cancer just like your Mum did. I am going to make it. I have too many crochet and knitting projects I want to do to leave this planet yet! i hope you are doing well and anxiety is in remission, I have always loved you and your channel. Keep good thoughts for me!

I REALLY APPRECIATE the fact you took the time to show how to block this shawl. And that you told us where to get the material to block it on and the pins and why! This was a very helpful tutorial and greatly appreciate all your helpful tips!! Thanks much!

I have just started my 2nd one of these shawls. The first one came out so lovely, I blocked it and it is fantastic. I am not on FB and I am not very tech savvy so no pics. I'm 62 years young and self taught the basics and then my son told me about KZbin, you were one of my first that I subscribed to. You are a wonderful teacher and I plan to make many more of your tutorials. Thank you for your knowledge.

I printed the pattern for this a few days ago because of the different ways it could be worn--and planned to make it for my sister. Unfortunately, I got stuck at the very beginning! (Probably because it was after midnight when I started it and I'd just finished a corner-to-corner shawl. Anyway, I did a quick YT search for "Coraline in the Wine Country tutorial" and there you were! I started over with you and it seemed that you were reading the pattern and paused at the same moment I did--which was great! I watched what you did and said "DUH...DC in the same stitch as the turning chain!" I don't know WHAT I read the first time I did it. Even though I have some RH Boutique Unforgettable that I originally planned for her, she liked some other colors, I chose Lion Brand "Landscapes" in the color 'Mountain Range' since she wants to wear it with denim and "a lot of other things". It's a bit thicker and recommends a "K" hook--AND it only has 147 yds/skein (Unforgettable has 200)...should be interesting! Thanks for doing the tutorial and for recommending blocking, too.

Let me count the reasons why I love this pattern: 1. Works up quickly 2. Don't have to find that pesky turning chain stitch at the end of each row 3. Pattern easy to memorize 4. Adaptable to yarn and hook 5. Like she said, using a bigger hook than the yarn suggests makes a lovely drapey material

If you wanted to make this a more open lace pattern, would you suggest doing treble crochet instead of double? Going up a hook size or two? Or should I do both? Thank you, for the video. I have a couple of questions. I ended up doing a total of 11 rounds before I had the following; 4-9: repeat row 3 - 49 dc, 1 ch - 3 space, , 1-ch 5 space. So I started the repeat stage at row 11. I am use the Winery color and order several colors online this morning. My questions or question is how many rows did it take you to finish two skeins? Your video was very well done. DO you have a video on the Augusta Shawl, it almost looks like a half granny square. I don't follow patterns very well. I have been crocheting for over 35 years. Thank you for your time. Happy New Year. Carrie Murray, Prescott Valley, Arizona.
