Finally, someone (YOU) actually SHOW the color change while the previous video producers just talk about it. Thank you !

Thank you! This is the best tutorial on the moss stitch. Easy to understand unlike other tutorials.

Thank you! My dad loves my moss stitch pot holders (two layers of kitchen cotton) but they’ve lasted 10 years and I forgot how to do them. This is just the refresher I needed!

It seems like such a silly thing, but for years I crocheted (but haven't done for a few years) and all that time I was never clear on what was meant by x number of chains from the hook. To me, the chain that the loop is "growing out of" always seemed like it should be considered part of that stitch. In other words, the loop plus the chain that it's coming out of. But that means I was actually losing a chain. Thank you for explaining and especially for visually demonstrating where to go, because now I know what to do!!❤

im sorry if this is a stupid question but why skip 4 stitches in the beginning? two is not enough to mimic the chain one space so the single crochet can be done at the end?

Hey jennifer, i really like this stitch... Im sure you could use d c instead of sungle crochets. Is there a name for that set of stitches? D C moss stitch perhaps??? Project would grow faster...❤

I would like to make this for a throw, or a twin size bed. How many chains wide should I make it using #4 Mainstay yarn, and about how many yards in colors each? Thank you :-)
@valferguson83222 ай бұрын
She covered you'd chain even until it's the length you'd like. Just keep putting the chains over your lap for a throw or on the bed having the chains fall over the side as much as you'd like in order to cover the bed.. Very simple design. Same w/ a scarf or shawl.... Hope this helped!!! As far as yardage, that depends on how many yards is in ea skein of yarn...depends on how many different colors you are using...using multiple colors would mean less skeins of ea color....plus if you'd like to add some kind of border. But this seems to not need a border in my opinion!!!! Maybe just s single crochet border at top n at the bottom where you started in the base row of chains...

My moss stitch is too loose or something. It never looks like this!

It may be because your hook is too big

Thank you, but I was listening and not watching you, so when you said skip one and the chain after that…I skipped 2 chains almost all the way across, but then I decided it didn’t make sense and went back to watch…thankfully.
