I was shocked when I heard you actually saved your yarn scraps. I was an avid quilter and I was always looking for projects to use my scraps which I Never threw out but I never thought to do that with yarn. On that note, I love this project. I wish I had scraps like yours. Also, I've been struggling on figuring out that magic circle...watching you zip right thru yours, I now know how to do it as well....I really enjoy your tutorials...

Love this! Just started learning to crochet a couple of months ago and being a tidy and recycling-minded person I was wondering what to do about the left-over bits and pieces. This is perfect AND useful! You are a great teacher as well, steps are made very clear and the video quality is sharp, well-positioned and makes the process easy to follow. Looking forward to browsing through your other videos. :)

Neat little project, just a thought......could you not have done the sectioning of it without using the button......then there wouldn't be any issues with the holes not having enough room....I'm sure you could add the buttons after...I might try it that way myself and see how it works out....thanks for the free pattern and tutorial though...Ann...x

annmarie leedham : Weaver's Knot....This is the way I tie my threads, yarns whatever. My mother taught me this way of knotting threads when she taught me how to sew. When I learned to crochet in my elementary days, this is the same way I tie my yarns. This is the kind of knot I am teaching my kids..but it is only now, when I am already in my 60s that I learned the name of this kind of knot...Thanks.

@MaryAnnNytowl Жыл бұрын
Well some of us refuse to USE plastic bags. I haven't used a plastic single use bag for about 10 years, now, since one busted open on the bottom and dropped a can of green beans just so that it landed on one of my toes & fractured it. Haven't missed the hateful things, since.

Tidbit of info. If you put a small wad of steel wool inside your pin cushion, it sharpens your pins. ;-)
@CrochetwithClare8 жыл бұрын
Oh thank you for the tip !
@septmornx8 жыл бұрын
:D Want another tip on crocheting rows of double crochetes? Why make a chain three at the end of a row and have to deal with the gaping hole? Why not just turn your work and start right away with another double crochet? I've been doing that while crocheting a sweater and it's working for me. Make sure your working yarn is in the front of the hook for this first DC and it will go to the back on its own after that.
@lemrinilemrini11463 жыл бұрын
The pattern is great and the use of many yarn scraps is a super tip/idea, but your hestation made me really versy confused. I think you should have showed us the final multicolor work and started the explanations using one single color. Anyway, I stopped following your explanations and continued by myself to finish the work in one single piece! FYI, I kemp watching the video till the end and it happend hat it was quite a horrible punition for me....
@CrochetwithClare3 жыл бұрын
not sure where you had problems. there is no hesitation in the video. it is just working in a continuous round and then stuffing it. you just make two circles and sew them together
@MaryAnnNytowl Жыл бұрын
Who the _~bleeping bleepety bleep~_ DOESN'T use knotted yarn in crochet? Oh, that's right - people who aren't thrifty, don't join multiple pieces of yarn together, and/or don't recover yarn from thrift store buys to reuse. I mean, come the _~bleep~_ on, yes, yes we - many of us - effing DO knot in crochet. 🤨🙄😒 I don't care how great the project is, you've already put a bad taste in my mouth from THAT comment... that 'holier than thou, I'm better than you' comment. 😠
