I want to make this plant hanger but I need the base to be a little bit larger. How would I adjust the pattern to accomplish this?
@mossyana
@mossyana 5 күн бұрын
You would do a round of dc, inc. If you need to do more, continue using that same pattern of adding one dc before the increase. So round 3: dc, inc Round 4: dc, dc, inc Round 5: dc, dc, dc, inc And so on until you have the desired size Edit: For the top row you would divide whatever number of stitches you end up with by 4 and that's how you get the spacing correct

This turns out cute!! It fits my 5 inch pot perfectly!! If we wanted to do larger do we add more DC into the magic ring?

I personally haven't made a bigger one but you can always try it with another round of increase before the cluster round, bearing in mind that the number of stitches on the last round will be greater ..

Could I just ask will the straps stretch beings that it's wool? Can you use cotton yarn instead?

Yes, they will stretch but not too much. I haven't tried it with cotton but you can give it a go, I think it would work

Try adding another row of increases to the bottom before starting the clusters. I haven't done one bigger, if I did I would experiment with it as well. Good luck 😊

I tried adding increase rows to mine in order to make it larger, and it did not work. The pattern no longer curved up the way it is supposed to, its just a big wavy circle of rows...

Sorry it didn't work out. I haven't tried it with increasing if I'm honest. I did try it with thicker yarn using the same pattern and it came out bigger (with bigger hook obviously)

@@chloehuegerich9900 I added two double crochets to the magic circle and that worked for me. You will need to adjust the slip stitches for the strap holders I did 12 stitches for that

what bottle do you use? Is it a 2 liter soda bottle? It's hard to tell size on the screen.

How to makw it bigger or does this fit a regular size
@mum2makes869
@mum2makes869 9 ай бұрын
You could try using a larger hook/yarn, but if you're using acrylic I personally wouldn't use large pots as it will stretch too much. I use the bottom of a 2litre pop bottle and that first perfectly and it's super lightweight.

How many groups of 3 per row? It seems as if every other row ends with a cluster and the others end with the large gap. How do I end each round since they are different? I cant seem to get it to end the same each round.
@mum2makes869
@mum2makes869 7 ай бұрын
When you start your cluster rounds, your chain 3 at the beginning of the round classes as the first dc of the clusters, when you finish the round you sl st into the 3rd chain (you will have 12 clusters at the end of each round. To start a new round you chain 3 (you'll see that your chain 3 sort of stands between 2 clusters and that's where you place youR 2 dc for that cluster. Have a look again from 2:50, I show there how to do it. When you come back round to close the round you will sl st into the 3rd chain that you made at the beginning. Hope that helps 🤞🏻😊

The wool does not rise on me, no pot is formed, it remains flat. Could it be that this only happens at the end? or could I be doing something wrong?

Hi, I don't know why it's doing that. Make sure you don't add chains or stitches. Try starting again.

It was the same with and I used cotton yarn. I did an extra round of increase and then I did 2 dc not 3 dc and no chain in between. And it worked.

Hi it would be useful if you stated that the instructions were using the American abbreviations instead of English. Luckily I’ve been crocheting for a while and noticed the different stitches . Other than that it is a lovely plant pot holder.
