Multiples of 4 . And if I mentioned anything like this ( 4+4+4..)+2 it means ( multiples of 4 ) +2 .hope it helps❤

I think both works. Hook is more American. I have done crochet for 42 years and we grew up calling it a ‘needle’.

I’m in the United States and we don’t have that yarn here so if you will please post the link to the Nako Ombré roving yarn used, I’d sure appreciate it. Also I seen where someone was trying to correct your English above in the comments. Everyone who uses English, knows what you mean when you say “Needle” in a crochet tutorial. You don’t have to say or use the word “Hook” unless you just want too. We know that needle means hook. Have a nice day! 😊
