Love, love, love Mikey's tutorials. He makes complicated written directions easy as pie. I have learned more stitches successfully in 10-15 minutes than I have in 4 years of struggling by myself. Keep up these great tutorials!!!!! A fan forever!!!!!!

Hi, I love how you used the bigger yarn to teach how to crochet the "Star Stitch" because it makes it so much easier to see & learn, but also how you took your time with everything!!! Thank you so much for sharing, Lily

Great video! Love the bulky yarn, large hook, and close camera angle! They really are perfect so learners can see what's happening. I made a roll-up crochet hook case with this pattern since the star centers are natural slots for the two ends of the hooks. :-)

I have read through a lot of the comments and decided to add my perspective to the fray. I was able to figure it out and make it work but there seems to be times when what you say doesn't fit with what your were doing and what you did wasn't always consistent. I played it over and over trying to figure out why following it exactly wasn't working. That is when I figured this out. It is what helped me. I just stuck with what worked the first time you did the first steps and after the turn.

I’m a new crocheter and I’m falling in love with the skill, however it does NOT come naturally for me. Lol. I love how you teach and find it easy to follow you. You explain every step very well. I’ve subscribed now and I’m grateful for my friend, who is a veteran crochet master like you, because she recommended your videos to me. It’s very generous of you to share your knowledge. Thank you. ❤

Another excellent tutorial. I've watched others for the star stitch but could never quite make out where the 3rd loop in the star was coming from, you made it so plain it was impossible to miss. I also love the clear concise way you explain things, no umming, ahhing or generally annoying babbling. Many thanks.

I absolutely LOVE your tutorials. While it may be kind of dull and repetitive to some, and may seem like too much repitition, for someone learning a new stitch, it's great for us to hear and see you going thru it and making the whole thing, start to finish, over and over. It's especially helpful to see you go down the row, what issues you encounter along the way, how you work thru them, turning the work needs to be seen more than just once. I, also, was disappointed that you didn't actually show how to change colors, just mentioned it can be done anytime. Devoting so much time and effort to teaching others to crochet may not seem like such a great thing on the surface, but it is. You're impacting millions! Thank you soo very much!
