For anyone who was interested in making the balaclava bigger, I was able to do so by increasing the number of chains in the beginning row. I went up to 30, rather than 24. Then single crocheted and slip stitched BLO per the video to the point where it was a size for the side of my head, and then worked on the top part. Highly recommend working with even numbers because you will decrease (and you’d want enough to decrease the single crochets on the top of your head). Fantastic pattern! I was able to make one for myself and another one (following the exact number from the video) for my dog!

How is 45 determined to be the last row before starting the decrease? I made more rows than the tutorial, with 28 sc and 22sl for the first row, and I started to make the L shape after row 30 (28+2, am i right?). I couldn't figure out which row would be the equivalent of row45 in the tutorial for me
@GaliaCabrera-vg7du9 ай бұрын
rows 26 to 45 have to be 38 cms. since you added around 5 extra rows maybe try adding the same amount of rows, so maybe do 50 rows? for example i did 34 rows for the first part so the 45 rows would be 53 rows for me. hope this helped!!!
