I wish every single one of the complainers or rude commenters would either keep their mouths closed or watch something else. this sweet❤ took her time to share with us something she found unique beautiful and wanted to pass it along... she was precise and did her best to explain the process. she also indicated that she included the pattern, so on that note if you didn't get it, it's on YOU, not her. you should be thanking her for taking the time to make the video and post it not ridicule her on your inability to rewind and watch! so sick of e titled people that are never appreciative of others.

Great tutorial! I just followed it and made a pair of red & white Christmas cuffs. Made the scallops white and the rest is done in red. Was hoping I could had a picture to show you. So far, this is my favorite pattern. Very easy & fast. Planning to use the alternating double/single stitches, using red to make a headband to go with them, and then add a white flower to the band.

These are beautiful! I made one already and will make it's match tommorow. So quick and easy to follow your directions. I attached a button to it which looks lovely. They can be worn as you showed here or put on inside out and folded over the boot cuff. So cute! These are going to be Christmas presents, thanks for the video.

Awesome tutorial. So easy that last night I made a set for my grandchild in beige this is what all the kids in her school are wearing. She was so Happy. I made 1 change to your pattern ... after making the top cuff and before connecting, I crochet the scalloped edge on top then I connected the ends of the cuff, this made it as one piece so there is less tails to take care of. Thanks for the video and pattern :-) Rich

I love your patterns and your tutorials. I have been crocheting for a long time and I have a tip. When your yarn makes a squeaking noise as your pulling it through the needle you are crocheting too tightly. Loosen up the thread a little and the yarn will also pull through the stitches easier. I know from some of the thing I am hearing you say that you are new to crochet. :) Keep up the good work and thanks for the video.

I made this cute boot cuff, and it was quick and easy. I think my yarn was to big though. My boot cuff is REALLY LONG. It goes over halfway down my calf! It was also a little tight and hard to get on. I know what to do next time now, though! I need to use smaller yarn, crochet tighter, and make it a comfortable width around my calf! I think I might make up some things as I do my next one, too! Thanks for this video!

Nice tutorial but could use more direction. I had to go back a few times to make sure your pattern called for 7 double crochet rounds. Also, it appears that you have Step 7 on the video twice for two different steps but I could be mistaken as I had to keep pausing it to work on my project. I've never seen the way you cut the yarn, it's much easier if you cut a tail and pull it through the loop to tighten it. Also, you don't have to keep cutting the yarn at the end of the steps. For example, when you've made your SC, DC strip of yarn (approx. 14 rows at the beginning) you don't have to cut the yarn, just put the ends of the long strip together and start doing the SC to bring the two ends of the strip together and then you can start doing the DC rounds with that same yarn without ever cutting it! I hate weaving in ends and never cut the yarn during this project. The only ends I had to weave were the starting chain piece and the final cut at the very end of the project. I like the scalloped edging, gives a nice touch.

I have a question. At 7 min 35 sec you finish the first part of the cuff. After you cut the string how do you go about making it so it doesn't come apart? Do you just make a regular knot with the left over 2, strings? Or is there some kind of special crochet connection thing that I'm missing?
@iKNITS10 жыл бұрын
You can make a knot, and then hide the yarn by weaving it in the work. Does that make sense?

I am a bit lost at step 6. I have my cuff made. Looks like you had to do a extra step to fix a loop before you started step 6. There is a skip in the video right before you start step 6. So the yarn you pull through for the start of step 6, I dont know if this is one of the tails we cut or are you starting with new yarn? I am a beginner.
@iKNITS10 жыл бұрын
hmm, could you tell me the time in the video where you are lost? Sorry it'll make it a lot easier for me to help you that way. thanks!
@aevanstn10 жыл бұрын
***** thanks! so at 7:45 you realize you missed a loop...then the screen skips (guess doesnt show you fixing this) so at 7:55 you say you are going to put your needle through first loop and grab your yarn. So my question is what string of yarn? do I grab a new string on my yarn ball? And which end of the cuff do I do this on? The side that has my tail and my cut piece of yarn? or the opposite? And last question the yarn loop you had us cut right after stitching the cuff together at 7:30, what is it for? wont it come unraveled or was I suppose to tie a knot on it? Sorry..I have no idea what I am doing.
@iKNITS10 жыл бұрын
Anna Evans It's the same yarn you were using. It doesn't matter which end of the cuff but if I remember correctly, I did the bottom. So the opposite of the side that has your tail and cut piece of yarn. So at the end you need to weave in the yarn at 7:30. You can tie a knot in it and then get a needle and weave it through your work. I hope this helps! Good luck!

You didnt tell anyone how many rows to do of the double crochet x2 in each double crochet spaces and then when you do the scallops on top you dont tell anyone that its supposed to be flipped back around and to do that on the top of the beginning of the work.
