I would love to see more of your freehand journey ! Would you ever use patterns for certain projects if needed ? On scrunchies you could try treble or double crochet i know that makes it ruffle up pretty nice

Hey Maxine! I love your ambition to do free hand crochet. I always follow KZbin tutorials and I want to be brave and try a free hand project soon. Curious, have you tried free handing a raglan style wearable? Like a sweater or cardigan? Raglan is my favorite style to crochet wearables since it’s made in one piece all the way through. I’d love to see you try raglan if you haven’t already! ❤

I tried making scrunchies. What I did, is put 3 DC in each stitch for 2 rows. And it was really ruffled
