my wife haven't done christmas for the last few years but i think we should because it's her favourite holiday :( her birthday is on new year's though so i put a lot of effort into that. this year i'm going to buy one of those tiny trees and get a bunch of little presents and make it special for her

me and my friends have decided to just Not to christmas gifts because uhhh, there's too many of us and that'll get expensive, so we do bdays instead. i like handmaking them stuff, usually just small amigurumi or like, a bookmark so def easier than making full clothing items and even then its a bit of a stress. congrats on everything you did manage to make!!

Really fun video! I was crocheting a Valentines themed c2c blanket as I watched. I have many crochet blanket wips but I keep starting new ones so get what you mean😂 The projects you showed were very beautiful. Now that the holidays have passed im glad to hear that you feel a little bit better without the stress of a deadline for gifts. Like your mom said, small gifts are great too and still take a lot of effort! Great job~

Honestly this whole video seems really silly to me. She managed to finish gifts for all of her friends for her secret Santa party, even the ones she didn’t need to make gifts for, but then couldn’t be bothered to weave in the ends for other gifts she already completed? and now she just has a bunch of half done projects that she doesn’t even know when she’ll finish? Sounds like next year she needs to prioritize a small group of people to make gifts for, and decide on a manageable amount she will actually be motivated to complete. Don’t set unrealistic expectations for yourself and he honest about who you actually WANT to make things for. Don’t oversell yourself, because now she’s just wasted a ton of time and money making a bunch of half done projects that it sounds like she will never complete.

Your comment seems much more silly. What's important is that she got to be around the people she cares for not whether or not she finished the gifts. Working on projects that you don't find as fun in the moment can take a lot of the enjoyment out of the experience. i'm glad that she listened to her body and thought about what she felt excited to make In the moment. It's so easy to get burned out this time of a year and she even mentioned seasonal depression and you're more worried about if she finished a gift???
