I love this, I got diagnosed at 19 and now I’m 31 and for my first five years I didn’t do any research myself because I didn’t like to research it which I think I didn’t want to accept I had it or read the bad things then even once I fully understood it I would find it hard to explain. Now I’m better but I wish I’d researched it myself but also watched this 10 years ago

I usually just tell people I have an autoimmune disease and that means my body attacks itself.

I do that too but I find 99% still have no clue or even a slight understanding of the symptoms due to that so then ask more questions which is why I’m happy I saw this video lol

Great videos. Very natural and even the pets get an appearance in some! I'm interested to watch or comment to positive people like you, who suffer with crohn's disease or similar autoimmune illness. Did you know that sharing your videos can promote them and your channel? I've recently started my Stomanner channel - after a long time of KZbin research and professional advice - to enjoy sharing relevant videos into the community. So, I'll be sharing these and hope it helps increase your views and presence in search ranking even more.

Thank you in return. I've now reached 10 subscribers and my target is 1000! Then I can make donations to charities with monetisation from KZbin. I'm making some 'best 5' KZbin videos for Crohn's this week, so I'll be sure to add one of yours. I'll let you know which one I chose...

I tell people my immune system sends troops to fight a war in my intestines that doesn’t really exist…as a result, it causes scarring and then it heals and scares heals scares. Blah blah. Then I get the confused (deer in headlights) look. So I say, imagine leaving a rubber hose out in the sun all summer. That hose gets stiff and cracks form. Imagine the hose can repair itself to fill in those cracks and become flexible again. Now visualize looking through the hose while that process repeats over the years. Eventually the hose hole inside will start to get smaller and smaller until you can see through it and water won’t even flow anymore. To repair it, you have to cut out the section that won’t let water flow through, and you clamp the good parts of hose back together. AND - That’s what happens to my intestines. Over time, surgery will be required to cut out those “badly closed off parts of the hose,” and if one is fortunate enough you will be fine for a while until the cycle repeats. Also - If I am feeling particularly conversational, I will add that Crohn’s spreads though out the body and causes dental/joint/bone determination as well. I get lots of dates using this explanation 😂😂

Hey.. Yeah I say immune system works wrong way round.. As I've also got psoriasis which is also an auto immune disease.. & just recently found out my liver enzymes are abnormal.. So. Need liver scan.. Has anyone else's crohns effected liver?? ❤️
@ItsaHardCrohnsLife5 жыл бұрын
They always do liver tests because certain medications can effect the liver, what medication are you currently on? As it could be that xx
@sunshineandflowersflowers23925 жыл бұрын
@@ItsaHardCrohnsLife I'm not on any medications as my crohns disease is to advanced tried numerous meds.. Humira being the latest.. Didn't do anything for me..
