Crohns is a type of inflammatory bowel disease affecting whole part of our digestive system . In constant to ulcerative colitis , it mainly affects terminal ileum and proximal colon . It can cause ulceration stricture fistula and perinatal disease . Major symptoms related to crohn’s are abdominal pain , diarrhoea , weight loss , nutritional deficiencies
Sometimes crohn’s affects upper gI tract with involvement of duodenum , stomach and esophagus .
Personal crohn’s presents as skin tags fistula and fissure

At my 16th year i waz diagnosed with this after 2 yrs of roaming in various hospitals. I had strictures and all the symptoms including frequent vomiting stomach ache blood count variations and every other symptoms, constipation, diarrhoea. I was diagnosed by Dr. Philip Augustine who is the 1st person to identify this condition in India. He told my next stage was operation only. But fortunately i reached just before it and now being 24 I am living a normal life like most others with least possible medicines. I am strictly adhering to the diet recommended and Dr.is strict about it also. I had been in a very bad situation when i reached there with a weight of 30kg, but after that i gained noemal weught and even i grew in height also . Hope this helps everyone. If proper treatment, and diet is there, crohn's is a friendly disorder.
