Great tutorial! For consistency, I would start seaming the sleeves from the other direction, since when worn, what is “vertical” in the pattern layout will be “horizontal” and vice versa. 😊

Haha! Go for it! This one's super fun - the granny square itself is really beautiful and you can modify the cardigan to fit exactly how you want it! Longer sleeves or body? No problem! Shorter? The instructions are in the pattern! Enjoy!

Would I be able to connect the squares using the same slst technique with 3chs in the corners??

I've never tried this before, but if you do, you would probably just want to skip the middle ch when joining each direction. You want the same number of stitches in each vertical join row (versus one row using 2 of the chains, and the other direction using the 1 left over). I hope that makes sense!
