You wrote some of the most beautiful pieces, dearest Croz... you'll always be missed, and I'm grateful for the Wind on the Water tour.

I've loved this group since I was like, 15ish. Heard this song for first time tonight. Bawling like a baby, remembering how being a hippie was a beautiful thing. I'm 72.

Best-laid plans - I have two younger brothers. Early April of 2020 our mother died peacefully in her sleep at 99 years old. I always knew i'd be in charge of funeral plans and forever knew I'd be playing Carry Me during her service. Well Covid-19 meant no service and only my brothers and me at the grave site for her burial. No Carry Me was a bitter disappointment but beyond my control. When back to normal, whenever that is, we'll have a celebration of life with all the kids and grand kids and you bet I'll finally get to play the song.

That is a very touching story. You're lucky your mom lives so long. Your heart is in the right place. Carry on .

All this COVID Bull** really ticks me off. My Father lost his battle with Alzheimer's. There was nothing keeping our family from having his funeral and all of us being present. My mother and sister took him home to die just a few weeks prior to his passing. Their was not a thing the state could do about it. My mother is a force not to be messed with. Our family gathered for a service graveside. Outdoors, socially distanced and masks, all be it nobody really cared about all that, but none the less. my mothers wishes were met without exception...... You only Die Once!

Ok,,,, it's been 5 years since my mother flew to Heaven,,,,, born in '41, she was absolutely the best! I don't really know how to explain how I would like to turn back the time to the summers of the 1970''s, when life was so innocent and pure.... Love was everywhere, the entire world seemed so safe and fun..... You are above the World! You are totally watching over my broken soul,,,, and I feel you everyday..... your last bell rang and you knew you were going home!!! God knows, I love you more each day that I breathe, and know you are right beside me every stumble I come upon.... There will never be anyone who comes close to being as wonderful as you mama....thank God, you were mine.

Not many songs bring to tears. This is one of them. Beautiful chord progression. Beautiful lyrics. Beautiful harmonies.
@luxurylinr563 жыл бұрын
I believe this recording best captured the true essence of Crosby's thoughts, memories when putting this together. What a voice, with the harmonies of close friends and the wonderful guitars and supporting instruments. Makes me cry, most of the time I hear is, but that's ok, because it brings back some of those precious life memories that us older folks can relate to: Childhood, first loves and the loss of one's mother or any loved one. These are heavy topics and to have them all in one song, is a lot to digest for some of us more sensitive men folk.

Raffinatezza e grande sensibilita' melodica contraddistingue questo duo storico. Grande passionalita' espressiva.

I have been into these guys music from the start. I find it sad nobody wants anything to do with David Crosby anymore . Even Graham who is the most loving guy in the world. They were once so tight as brothers and now don't even speak . Last I heard. Maybe that has changed I hope. Anyways.. I love the hell out of all the guys. David Graham Stephen and yes Neil Young too. Time is running out guys.... Please get together when you can and give us some more of your god-given music !
