I wish i could tell CSN&Y how much they meant to me during 1969 -1973. My generation found truth, love & peace and my generation was all in unison with a philosophy & wanted a better world. It's still here in me & all those who shared a global consciousness! I was 18 when the Hippie revolution hit. I'm 75 now & still am the same! :)

These men were heroes of my generation, and would be much more if not for aging. Wisdom comes with age cut short without pity, not withstanding the historical insights that nature might provide in a longer healthy life we should all promote. CSN delivered; should we never forget?

Crosby is criticized by the public and band mates , I am sure he burnt a lot of bridges. On the other hand he has come to a place in his life where he is comfortable in his own skin and honest, pointing out his own faults which is refreshing.

Individuals with strong opinions and immensely talented. We have to respect all that has been accomplished through their brotherhood. Their young beginnings coincided with my childhood. In 1969 I was in the 3rd grade and very much a fan. Also the other fellow musicians from that extraordinary era. I am who I am because of the music I grew up on. The doc "Echo In The Canyon" from around 2015 by Jakob Dylan is so good.

I wish I'd watched this before trying to get Crosby's autograph having easily got Nash and Stills when they toured the UK. Stood outside for 2 hours after the show and when he came out I held out my copy of his first solo album and he just shrugged past me: "Sorry man. I don't sign." I have bought every single note of any music he has ever released and I was gutted. He did apologise to me on Twitter later. I suggested he should ask questions like: "What film did my Dad win an Oscar for?" [Tabu] or "What was the first folk group I joined?" [Les Baxter's Balladeers ] that only true fans would know.

I always loved Crosbys work the best, due to the jazz he infused into his sounds and the incredible scat singing he did with Nash, it was far above and beyond the usual folk and rock stuff. However I met him, outside a venue, we couldn't move the traffic out was so bad, we parked, went behind the hall and had a smoke, where we found Stills doing the same, he came over, there was just me and a friend, he asked for a cig, he left his pack in the tour bus, so we chatted about all sorts of stuff, he was such a nice friendly gentleman, then from the bus appears Crosby, marches over obviously cranky about something, I said hi David, he said fuck off, and then shouted at stills "I need you in the bus now!!! we walked off, they walked off it was a horrible end to a beautiful night....

I grew up with a friend like a brother, together we went target shooting, fishing and backpacking, sang together in the High School choir, played CB radio (I was on his roof putting up a new antenna more times than I can recall) went mountain biking, shared stereo gear, sports cars, Thai dinners, LPs, CDs, cigars and joints. - He recalls a lot of things correctly - *_except for the memories from his drinking years,_* then he gets all sorts of things twisted & confused while thinking he's dead-on accurate.

From the first album until he cleaned up, It was the Croz's drug use (and denial of it for FAR too many years) - as well as Stills's mammoth ego - that created most of the turmoil. Then there was Neil Young -- an unquestioned musical genius, but nearly wholly unreliable as a bandmate. 😩 ☺️ You're correct though about the last 10 years or so, until Croz's passing last year: His scathing criticism of Daryl Hannah, and Young's decision to marry her, seemed to be a sad, final breaking point for the band. 😢 Some things are better left unsaid, certainly after you've been through so many "wars" (good & bad times) with people you claim to love. I found it interesting that, to my knowledge, Croz _didn't_ similarly lambast Nash for doing exactly what Young did (at least not publicly). RIP Croz 🙏🏻💛, and here's to hoping that Graham & Stephen get at least one more collaborative project in, before they hang up their guitars for good.

I'd let an uber producer like Rick Rubin or Glyn John's wrangle their attitudes and get them to put out a end message LP essentially out muscle them lol Stephen is playing great and Croz is writing again.

They worked with Rubin and were going to make an album of covers. It was to be called "songs we wish we wrote". The band wanted to have a couple Beatle songs on it but Rubin only wanted one. The project led to a disagreement between Rubin and CSN that it didn't work out. They continued without Rubin, but ultimately it didn't work. The several songs they did work on are in the Sony vault. Hopefully one day it'll come out.

Graham Nash is showing his butt and has a lot of "know it all B S" about him. David is going to be 80 years old. If they want to make any more CSN music, they had better forgive David for whatever they still hold against him, speaking mainly of Neil and Graham. Life is short. If David dies, they will ALL be very sorry.

Howard Stern Interviews CROZ*Jun 22, 2021 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKLNoHihhMxgeNE Howard: Graham +You ~Feel like you guys are almost brothers.
CROZ: Well, i did too. It came as a kinda shock to me.
He blew it pretty badly with me, man. He said a bunch of really awful stuff (Howard: book {Wild Tales**})
“David Crosby Doubts CSN&Y Will Ever Reconcile”**Croz calls Graham’s memoir Wild Tales “shallow” and “very self-serving” and is one of the reasons behind their feud started in 2014.

@@Golfstar17 Why do you say that Jonathan? Graham spent years, starting in the early 2000's going through all the CS&N catalogs, then Crosby's & Stills solo catalogs so he could build a master collection of all their music, then produced the Digital Re-Mastered Box Sets for each of them. Crosby's, Stills & his own. That's about 1,000 songs that I've heard of. So he was pretty busy doing that, plus still touring, writing new material & producing everything. I just think he keeps to himself, plus doing a lot of studio production work sorta leads me to think he does the most work out of CS&N.
