That’s a very familiar story Alan. Taking something apart and taking ten times longer to put it back together again. I wonder how many times that happens to us? 😂 Cheers Nobby

If my experience is anything to go by Nobby, all the time! Cheers, Alan.

I'm aways careful with springs Alan, I wouldn't like to count up the hours I've spent on hands and knees looking for springs that have shot out.

I know Jim, I've been there myself 🤣🤣

Hi Alan. Strange they don't include that small green "O" ring in the kit. Green "O" rings are made from hydrogenated Nitrile. They are high temperature and pressure variation capable. Ducati use a few green ones for specific oil galleries on the cylinder head/barrel faces, so I'm familiar with them. I expect green ones would hold their shape longer than plain black in your application. Black rings tend to crush over time. I hope this helps. Cheers Rob

Thanks Rob. I should have realised it was probably Nitrile. I do have a box of assorted Nitrile O rings but unfortunately didn't have one the right size for this. I'm fairly sure the one I used will last a reasonable amount of time as the rifle will only get used occasionally. Cheers, Alan.

@@RetroSteamTech Hi Alan. Yes. I expect it will be OK for quite a long time. I wonder how many PSI that chamber pumps up to ? Cheers Rob

@@Xynudu Not really sure on the PSI, generally the manufacturers only give feet per second info on their air rifles and as far as I know there is no direct correlation between PSI and FPS.

@@RetroSteamTech Hi Alan. The reason I asked was to determine how much pressure that "O: ring will be subject to. We will be talking big numbers I expect. Cheers Rob

I have one like that I having the same problem can you fix mine?
@RetroSteamTech2 ай бұрын
I only work on my own air guns. It is fairly easy to do though. Just follow what I do in the video.

@RetroSteamTech where you get the replacement parts?
@RetroSteamTech2 ай бұрын
@@robertcalvin5701 The parts came from ebay. I can't place a link here but the seller was 'AlchemyAirWerks'.
