My train/sleep story happened back in the early '80s. I was courting a young lady (I was a young lad at the time) and she invited me to her house for dinner. I ended up spending the night. She lived in a rented single wide trailer house in a little dinky bedroom community of the city we worked in. In the middle of the night I was awakened from a dead sleep, the house was shaking and it sounded like a freight train was coming though the front room. She calmly said, "It's just a train, go back to sleep.) Yup, it was a freight train and the house was right next to the train tracks! True story.

Welcome to Wyoming! Yes Chris, I do that all the time. I try to wait till almost the last minute to pack the bike till everything is down, folded up and in iin its bags. I guess as you probably have "a place for everything and everything in its place. I do like the rok straps also but way back before I found them I was using a set of ratchet straps and on occasion they saved my bacon. Getting a tow truck ride after hitting a deer but driver didnt have anything to tie me down with. Another time I got stuck in the mountains, alone, where the straps hooked end to end and ratchet pulled me out of the hole I was in. They come in handy. Meanwhile I am as always enjoying your adventures. Keep those videos coming!

Be careful getting in the sprinklers at the rest areas. Many times the water is the "treated" wastewater from the aerobic on-site sewage facility (septic system) being used to water the landscaping.

The route to Seattle that you showed missed going past the Maryhill's Stone Hedge (Washington state), Rowena curves (rt 30 Oregon), Mt St Helen and Mt Rainier NP. I will be watching to see if you route gets adjusted to get off that section of interstate and see some additional sights. Maryhill's Stone Hedge was built to honor those that died in the World War. What we know as World War I. They we hoping that there wasn't going to be a sequel. There is a couple other interesting things in the area of Maryhill and Goldenale WA. Rowena curves area of Oregon route 30 is where a lot of car and motorcycle ads are filmed. The Windy Ridge/ east side of Mt St Helen is a more remote feeling than the west side. The roads are paved but rough. Paradise and Sunrise on Mt Rainier are worth a visit. I will have to patiently wait to see if you visited any of these sights.

@TwoWheelsBigLife2 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s back a few at the beginning of Season 7. We really missed the travel by motorcycle. And the gas prices really made travel by the big truck expensive. We sold the truck for more than what we paid so. No brainer and base camp is at a more permanent location at my moms in AR.

The way the kick stand on a HD is made and how low and out it works, it is almost impossible for the bike to turn over even if it gets into a small hole. Not like the other BMW, Honda or other none HD bikes. Those including the GoldWing WILL fall over. Poor design of the straight down kick stands. Even on the new HD Panama, it has the stupid little kickstand but it also has the rear stand to take care of that crap.
