I have the Cross RC SP4 Demon, I wish they had not combined the motor and trans together. That socks. Over all I think it might be a good kit.

I have the SU4C version of the Demon. Like you I hated the transmission. Mine now has a RC4wd R3 single speed transmission in it. I also installed portals on this SU4C Demon. This fall I will be doing a build video on this truck.

@@masterchief586 Joe this conversion was really easy. Almost bolts right in. I did have to drill a couple holes but that was it. I will be posting a video in the future of this build. I am also going to show how to make your own two stage foam inserts. Working on this now.

do you know if the RTR version includes the heavy tires? how much extra money did you spend to get it ready to run and is it worth the effort or better to buy the RTR version?

I don’t get it. Other than heavy wheels, this has nothing great or ground breaking. All this has been done by trx4 and scx10.3 and the prices are about the same. I don’t understand what is so “fascinating “ about this ? Looks like a poor attempt to copy the other guys that already have these out. I would get it if the price was ridiculous low. It is not.

The prices are not about the same, he explained that in the other video , there is over $100 price difference, and that doesn't even factor the heavy tires thar are supposed to be worth about $50, but somehow it seems are not included in the RTR but only in the kit... doesn't make sense why they did that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooq9g2aZm9t3adU

G'day ol son.....this is my first real look at Cross Rc in review. I just purchased at clearance, a Cross Rc PG4RS for $299AUD for the kit, theres not much on real reviews like your channel out there for this older kit, may be in a few words could ya give an ol bugger like meself some advice on what to look out for or change immediatlly apon arrival of this kit, just a word or 2 would be fine. cheers any way ol boy,....... from ya m8 downunder!

Hey, am I the only one crying at that poor Marty McFly truck in the back, all undone? What happened to it Francis? Hopefully it's due for new updates? definitely my favorite truck of your collection. So much effort and details into it... Hope to some day be able to buy all the parts to make an exact copy of that one... =)

I lifted it and the custom bumper mount broke. Also want to change the wheels but the hub locks stripped. Will fix!

The gladiator has a longer wheel base so you would have to change the links but yes it's possible

No, the wheelbases are too far apart. 12.3" vs 13.1"

You must have got a a good one, and I preface this by saying of 30 people I go playing with, 10 have owned/bought crosses and all have had nothing but problems and issues not with what just came in the box but dealing with the company itself. In saying that not a dig as I love ya channel.

This chassis is a total redesign. There's no comparison to Cross's older trucks.

You can also buy spectrum 25g servos for the 2speed and diff locks

I didn’t set my endpoints properly and burnt out the servos that came RTR. Bought 2 Spektrum SMPSA500 servos off Amazon, arrived the next day and are identical dimensions.

Are there any component differences between the RTR and Kit version that you're aware of? It looks like the RTR version might not come with the nice heavy wheels?

Correct, the RTR doesn't come with the heavy steel wheels. I looked up the wheels alone and they are around $40-45 for a set of four.

Stock electronics on the rtr also leave a lot to be desired. Bought the rtr so I didn’t have to paint but switched wheels, tires, esc, servo and receiver
