Super helpful on multiple techniques @BenConsidine. Really interesting to see how you offset your feet to the inside rail rather than keeping both directly over the stringer (as we're initially taught). I need to try this ASAP.

So good! I’ve struggled for years. Tiny steps and ending up too far or awkwardly narrow near the nose. Will be Putting this into effect. Aloha!

Awesome video as always. I too had the issue of being too far forward and not enough space to compete the final steps to the nose, This video made it so clear of what I need to do. Hopefully in the next session, I will get myself onto the nose. Thank you Ben!!

Bellisimo! New all time favorite TSG video, just ahead of #120. Certain skills are so beneficial in fast points where a close out is likely, even at mid to higher tide. Thanks so much for sharing the insights that leave the locals with permanent drop jaw, like I’ve been surfing this break for decades and he waltzes in and does that there, never seen maneuvers on a small board in that section. Not possible, how’s that done? So cool of you to share the pro tips in simple, doable, sequenced lessons. Bravo Ben!

Will definitely try this soon, I’ve been working on pulling my front foot back slightly to give space to nose ride but have found that I still don’t know where on the board to be, marking with wax makes so much sense

thanks a lot for the tip! I often found myself pop up too much forward leading to bad spacing or in an awkward position after 2 steps(not reaching the nose or no space for next 2 steps).

Dude! From your last POV Video I was able to look and stay back a bit from the shoulder, I felt my board hold and elevate while staying on the highline!! Which gave me the confidence to trust my board in its positioning, to then attempt cross stepping (shuffling at first). I started my two steps always being almost at the nose and leaned back pretending to hang 10, or awkwardly close to the nose but not able to figure how to make that last two steps in a tight space, usually ending in a fizzed out ugly finish. I cant wait to try this wax trick, just making a smaller first two steps make so much sense. Should I not be concerned about looking down while on a wave??
